Palabra del SEÑOR que vino a Oseas^a, hijo de Beeri, en días de Uzías^b, Jotam^c, Acaz^d y Ezequías^e, reyes de Judá, y en días de Jeroboam, hijo de Joás, rey de Israel^f.

2 Cuando por primera vez el SEÑOR habló¹ por medio de Oseas, el SEÑOR le dijo²: Anda, toma para ti a una mujer ramera^a y engendra hijos de prostitución; porque la tierra se prostituye^b gravemente, abandonando al³ SEÑOR. 3 Fue, pues, y tomó a Gomer, hija de Diblaim; y ella concibió y le dio a luz un hijo^a. 4 Y el SEÑOR dijo a Oseas¹: Ponle por² nombre Jezreel^3a, porque dentro de poco castigaré a la casa de Jehú^b por la sangre derramada en Jezreel⁴, y pondré fin al reino de la casa de Israel^c. 5 Y sucederá que en aquel día quebraré el arco^a de Israel en el valle de Jezreel^b. 6 Ella concibió otra vez y dio a luz una hija. Y el Señor le dijo: Ponle por¹ nombre Lo-ruhamá^2a, porque ya no me compadeceré de la casa de Israel, pues no los perdonaré jamás. 7 Pero me compadeceré de la casa de Judá y los salvaré por el SEÑOR su Dios^a; y no los salvaré con arco, ni con espada, ni con batalla, ni con caballos ni jinetes^b. 8 Después de haber destetado a Lo-ruhamá, ella concibió y dio a luz un hijo. 9 Y el Señor dijo: Ponle por¹ nombre Lo-ammí², porque vosotros no sois mi pueblo y yo no soy vuestro Dios³.

The word of the LORD that came to ^aHosea the son of Beeri in the days of ^bUzziah, ^cJotham, ^dAhaz and ^eHezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of ^fJeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel.

2 When the LORD first spoke through Hosea, the LORD said to him, “^aGo, take for yourself a ¹wife of prostitution and have children of her prostitution; for ^bthe land commits great acts of prostitution by ²not following the LORD.” 3 So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim, and she conceived and ^abore him a son. 4 And the LORD said to him, “Name him ^aJezreel; for yet in a little while ^bI will avenge the blood that was shed in the Valley of Jezreel and inflict the punishment for it on the house of ¹Jehu, and ^cI will put an end to the kingdom of the ²house of Israel. 2+@Kin 10:1-11 5 On that day I will ^abreak the bow of the military power of Israel in the ^bValley of Jezreel.”

6 Then Gomer conceived again and gave birth to a daughter. And the LORD said to Hosea, “Name her Lo-Ruhamah (not shown mercy) , for I will no longer ^ahave mercy on the house of Israel, that I would ever forgive them. 7 But I will have ^amercy on the house of Judah and will ^brescue them by the LORD their God, and will ¹not rescue them by ^cbow, sword, war, horses, or horsemen.” Is 31:8; 37:33-35

8 Now when Gomer had weaned Lo-Ruhamah, she conceived and gave birth to a son. 9 And the LORD said, “Name him Lo-Ammi (not my people) , for you are not My people and I am not your God.”
