Entonces el SEÑOR dijo a Noé: Entra en el arca tú y todos los de tu casa¹; porque he visto quesolo tú eres justo^a delante de mí en esta generación. 2 De todo animal limpio tomarás contigo¹ siete parejas², el macho y su hembra; y de todo animal que no es limpio, dos, el macho y su hembra^a; 3 también de las aves del cielo, siete parejas¹, macho y hembra, para conservar viva la especie² sobre la faz de toda la tierra. 4 Porque dentro de siete días haré llover sobre la tierra^a cuarenta días y cuarenta noches^b, y borraré de la faz de la tierra a todo ser viviente¹ que he creado^2c. 5 Y Noé hizo conforme a todo lo que el SEÑOR le había mandado^a.

6 Noé tenía seiscientos años^a cuando el diluvio de las aguas vino¹ sobre la tierra. 7 Entonces entró Noé en el arca^a, y con él sus hijos, su mujer y las mujeres de sus hijos, a causa de las aguas del diluvio. 8 De los animales limpios y de los animales que no son limpios, de las aves y de todo lo que se arrastra sobre la tierra^a, 9 de dos en dos entraron con¹ Noé en el arca, macho y hembra, como Dios había ordenado a Noé. 10 Y aconteció que a los siete días las aguas del diluvio^a vinieron¹ sobre la tierra. 11 El año seiscientos de la vida de Noé^a, el mes segundo, a los diecisiete días del mes, en ese mismo día se rompieron todas las fuentes del gran abismo, y las compuertas¹ del cielo fueron abiertas^b. 12 Y cayó¹ la lluvia sobre la tierra por cuarenta días y cuarenta noches^a.

13 En ese mismo día entró Noé en el arca, con Sem, Cam y Jafet, hijos de Noé, y la mujer de Noé y las tres mujeres de sus hijos con ellos^a, 14 y toda¹ fiera según su especie, y todo ganado según su especie, y todo reptil que se arrastra sobre la tierra según su especie, y toda ave según su especie, toda clase de aves². 15 Entraron, pues, con¹ Noé en el arca de dos en dos de toda carne^a en que había aliento de vida. 16 Y los que entraron, macho y hembra de toda carne, entraron como Dios le había mandado; y el SEÑOR cerró la puerta detrás de Noé¹. 17 Entonces vino¹ el diluvio sobre la tierra por cuarenta días^a, y las aguas crecieron y alzaron el arca, yesta se elevó sobre la tierra. 18 Y las aguas aumentaron y crecieron mucho sobre la tierra; y el arca flotaba¹ sobre la superficie² de las aguas. 19 Y las aguas aumentaron más y más sobre la tierra, y fueron cubiertos todos los altos montes que hay debajo de todos los cielos. 20 Quince codos¹ por encima subieron las aguas después que² los montes^a habían sido cubiertos. 21 Y pereció toda carne que se mueve sobre la tierra: aves, ganados, bestias, y todo lo que pulula sobre la tierra, y todo ser humano^a; 22 todo aquello en cuya nariz había aliento de espíritu de vida^a, todo lo que había sobre la tierra firme, murió. 23 Exterminó, pues, el SEÑOR todo ser viviente¹ que había sobre la faz de la tierra; desde el hombre hasta los ganados, los reptiles y las aves del cielo, fueron exterminados de la tierra;solo quedó Noé y los que estaban con él en el arca^a. 24 Y prevalecieron las aguas sobre la tierra ciento cincuenta días^a.

Then the LORD said to Noah, “Come into the ark, you with all your household, for you alone I have seen as ^arighteous (doing what is right) before Me in this generation. Ps 27:5; 33:18, 19; 2+@Pet 2:9 2 Of every ^1aclean animal you shall take with you seven pair, the male and his female, and of animals that are not clean, two each the male and his female; Lev 11:1-13 3 also of the birds of the air, seven pair, the male and the female, to keep the offspring alive on the surface of the earth. 4 For in ^aseven days I am going to cause it to rain on the earth for ^bforty days and forty nights; and I will destroy (blot out, wipe away) ^cevery living thing that I have made from the surface of the earth.” 5 ^aSo Noah did all that the LORD commanded him. Heb 11:7

6 Noah was ^asix hundred years old when the flood (deluge) of water came on the earth covering all of the land. 7 Then ^aNoah and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives with him entered the ark to escape the flood waters. Matt 24:38; Luke 17:27 8 ^aOf ¹clean animals and animals that are not clean and birds and fowls and everything that crawls on the ground, 9 they came motivated by God into the ark with Noah two by two, the male and the female, just as God had commanded Noah. 10 And after ^athe seven days God released the rain and the floodwaters came on the earth. 11 In the ^asix hundredth year of Noah’s life, on the seventeenth day of the second month, on that same day all ^bthe fountains of the great deep subterranean waters burst open, and the windows and floodgates of the heavens were opened. 12 ^aIt rained on the earth for forty days and forty nights.

13 On the very same day ^aNoah and Shem and Ham and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife and the three wives of his sons with them, entered the ark, 14 they and every animal according to its kind, all the livestock according to their kinds, every moving thing that crawls on the earth according to its kind, and every bird according to its kind, every winged thing of every sort. 15 So they went into the ark with Noah, ^atwo by two of all living beings in which there was the breath and spirit of life. 16 Those which entered, male and female of all flesh (creatures) , entered as God had commanded Noah; and the LORD closed the door behind him.

17 The flood the great downpour of rain was ^aforty days and nights on the earth; and the waters increased and lifted up the ark, and it floated high above the land. 18 The waters became mighty and increased greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the waters. 19 The waters prevailed so greatly and were so mighty and overwhelming on the earth, so that all the high mountains everywhere under the heavens were covered. 20 In fact the waters became ¹fifteen cubits higher than the highest ground, ^aand the mountains were covered. 21 ^aAll living beings that moved on the earth perished—birds and cattle (domestic animals) , wild animals, all things that swarm and crawl on the earth, and all mankind. 22 Everything on the dry land, all ^ain whose nostrils was the breath and spirit of life, died. 23 God destroyed (blotted out, wiped away) every living thing that was on the surface of the earth; man and animals and the crawling things and the birds of the heavens were destroyed from the land. Only ^aNoah and those who were with him in the ark remained alive. Matt 24:37-44 24 ^aThe waters covered all of the earth for a hundred and fifty days (five months) .
