Y sucedió en el año sexto, en el día cinco del sexto mes, que estando yo sentado en mi casa y los ancianos de Judá sentados ante mí, bajó¹ allí sobre mí la mano del Señor DIOS². 2 Entonces miré, y he aquí, una figura con aspecto de hombre¹; desde sus lomos para abajo tenía la apariencia de fuego, y desde sus lomos para arriba la apariencia de un resplandor, como el aspecto de un metal refulgente^a. 3 Y extendió algo semejante a una mano y me tomó por un mechón de mi cabello¹; y el Espíritu me alzó entre la tierra y el cielo y me llevó a Jerusalén en visiones de Dios, a la entrada de la puerta^a que mira al norte del atrio interior, allí donde estaba la morada del ídolo de los celos que provoca los celos^b. 4 Y he aquí, la gloria del Dios de Israel estaba allí, como la visión que yo había visto en la llanura^a.

5 Y Él me dijo: Hijo de hombre, levanta ahora tus ojos^a hacia el norte. Y levanté mis ojos hacia el norte, y he aquí, al norte de la puerta del altar, estaba el ídolo de los celos^b a la entrada. 6 Entonces me dijo: Hijo de hombre, ¿ves lo que hacenestos, las grandes abominaciones que comete aquí la casa de Israel para que me aleje de mi santuario? Pero aún verás mayores abominaciones^a.

7 Después me llevó a la entrada del atrio, y cuando miré, he aquí, había un agujero en el muro. 8 Y me dijo: Hijo de hombre, cava ahora en el muro. Cavé en el muro, y he aquí una entrada^a. 9 Entonces me dijo: Entra y ve las perversas abominaciones que ellos cometen aquí. 10 Entré, pues, y miré; y he aquí, había toda clase de reptiles y bestias y cosas abominables, y todos los ídolos de la casa de Israel estaban grabados en el muro por todo alrededor. 11 Y de pie frente a ellos, estaban setenta hombres de los ancianos de la casa de Israel^a, y Jaazanías, hijo de Safán, de pie entre ellos, cada uno con su incensario en la mano; y el aroma de la nube de incienso^b subía. 12 Me dijo entonces: Hijo de hombre, ¿has visto lo que hacen en la oscuridad los ancianos de la casa de Israel, cada uno en su cámara de imágenes grabadas? Porque ellos dicen: «El SEÑOR no nos ve^a; el SEÑOR ha abandonado la tierra^b». 13 Y me dijo: Aún verás que cometen mayores abominaciones.

14 Entonces me llevó a la entrada de la puerta de la casa del SEÑOR que está al norte^a; y he aquí, había allí mujeres sentadas llorando a Tamuz. 15 Y me dijo: ¿Has visto, hijo de hombre? Aún verás mayores abominaciones queestas.

16 Entonces me llevó al atrio interior de la casa del SEÑOR. Y he aquí, a la entrada del templo del SEÑOR, entre el pórtico y el altar, había unos veinticinco hombres de espaldas al templo del SEÑOR^a y de cara al oriente, y se postraban hacia el oriente, hacia el sol^b. 17 Y Él me dijo: ¿Has visto, hijo de hombre? ¿Le parece poco a la casa de Judá cometer las abominaciones que aquí han cometido^a, que han llenado la tierra de violencia y me han provocado repetidas veces^b? Porque he aquí, se llevan el ramo a la nariz. 18 Por tanto, yo ciertamente obraré con furor. Mi ojo no tendrá piedad, ni yo perdonaré; y aunque griten a mis oídos con gran voz, no los escucharé^a.

It came about in the ¹sixth year of the captivity of King Jehoiachin, on the fifth day of the sixth month, as I sat in my house near Babylon with the elders of Judah sitting before me, that the hand of the Lord ²GOD fell on me there. 2 Then I looked, and behold, a likeness of a man with the ^aappearance of fire; from His ¹loins downward He was like fire, and from His loins upward He had the appearance of brightness, like ^bgleaming metal (bronze) . 3 He stretched out the form of a hand and took me by a lock of hair on my head; and the ^aSpirit lifted me up between earth and heaven and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the entrance of the north gate of the inner courtyard, where the seat of the idol (image) of ¹jealousy, which ^bprovokes to jealousy, was located. 2+@Kin 16:10-16; 21:4, 5 4 And behold, the ^aglory and brilliance of the God of Israel who had loved and chosen them was there, like the vision which I saw in the plain. 5 Then He said to me, “Son of man, now ^araise your eyes toward the north.” So I looked toward the north, and behold, to the north of the altar gate was this ^bidol (image) of jealousy at the entrance. 6 Furthermore, He said to me, “Son of man, do you see what they are doing, the great ^arepulsive acts which the house of Israel is committing here, to drive Me far away from My sanctuary? But you will again see greater repulsive acts.”

7 Then He brought me to the entrance of the courtyard; and when I looked, behold, there was a hole in the wall. 8 He said to me, “Son of man, now ^adig into the wall.” And when I had dug into the wall, behold, there was an entrance. 9 And He said to me, “Go in and see the wicked, repulsive acts that they are committing here.” 10 So I entered and looked, and saw every kind of creeping things and beasts and loathsome things, and all the idols of the house of Israel, carved all around on the wall. 11 Standing before these images were ^aseventy ^belders of the house of Israel, and among them stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan the scribe, each man with his ^ccenser in his hand and a thick and fragrant cloud of incense was rising as they prayed to these gods. 12 Then He said to me, “Son of man, do you see what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, each man in his secret room of carved images? For they say, ‘^aThe LORD does not see us; the LORD has ^babandoned the land.’” 13 He also said to me, “Yet again you will see even greater repulsive acts which they are committing.”

14 Then He brought me to the entrance of the north ^agate of the LORD’S house; and behold, women were sitting there weeping for ¹Tammuz. 15 He said to me, “Do you see this, son of man? Yet you will see still greater repulsive acts than these that they are committing.”

16 So He brought me to the inner court of the LORD’S house. And behold, at the entrance to the temple of the LORD, between the porch (vestibule, portico) and the bronze altar, were about twenty-five men with their ^abacks to the temple of the LORD and their faces toward the east; and ^bthey were bowing down toward the east and worshiping the sun. 17 He said to me, “Do you see this, son of man? Is it too slight a thing for the house of Judah to commit the repulsive acts which they have committed here, that they have ^afilled the land with violence and repeatedly ^bprovoked Me to anger? And behold, they are putting the ¹branch to their nose. 18 Therefore, I indeed will deal in wrath. My eye will have no pity nor will I spare them; and ^athough they cry loudly in My ears, yet I will not listen to them.” Prov 1:28; Is 1:15; Jer 11:11; 14:12; Mic 3:4; Zech 7:13
