Entonces el Espíritu me levantó y me llevó a la puerta oriental de la casa del SEÑOR que mira al oriente^a. Y he aquí, a la entrada de la puerta había veinticinco hombres, y entre ellos vi a Jaazanías, hijo de Azur, y a Pelatías, hijo de Benaía^b, jefes del pueblo. 2 Y Él me dijo: Hijo de hombre, estos son los hombres que maquinan iniquidad y dan malos consejos en esta ciudad^a, 3 los cuales dicen: «¿No está cerca el tiempo¹ de edificar casas? Esta ciudad es la olla y nosotros la carne^a». 4 Por tanto, profetiza contra ellos, profetiza, hijo de hombre^a.

5 Entonces el Espíritu del SEÑOR cayó sobre mí, y me dijo: Di: «Así dice el SEÑOR: “Así habéis dicho, casa de Israel, yo conozco vuestros pensamientos^1a. 6 Habéis multiplicado vuestros muertos en esta ciudad, habéis llenado sus calles de muertos^a”. 7 Por tanto, así dice el Señor DIOS¹: “Vuestros muertos, los que habéis dejado en medio de la ciudad², son la carne, y ella es la olla^a; pero yo os sacaré³ de ella^b. 8 Habéis temido la espada, y espada traeré sobre vosotros^a”—declara el Señor DIOS. 9 “Y os sacaré de en medio de la ciudad¹, os entregaré en manos de extraños^a y traeré juicios contra vosotros^b. 10 A espada caeréis^a; en los confines de Israel os juzgaré; y sabréis que yo soy el SEÑOR^b. 11 Esta ciudad no será olla para vosotros, ni vosotros seréis carne en medio de ella^a; hacia los confines de Israel os juzgaré. 12 Y sabréis que yo soy el SEÑOR; porque no habéis andado en mis estatutos ni habéis ejecutado mis ordenanzas^a, sino que habéis obrado conforme a las costumbres de las naciones que os rodean^b”».

13 Y sucedió que mientras yo profetizaba, Pelatías, hijo de Benaía^a, murió. Entonces caí sobre mi rostro, y clamé a gran voz y dije: ¡Ah, Señor DIOS! ¿Vas a acabar por completo con el remanente de Israel^b?

14 Entonces vino a mí la palabra del SEÑOR, diciendo: 15 Hijo de hombre, tus hermanos, tus parientes¹, los hombres en el destierro contigo² y toda la casa de Israel, todos ellos, son aquellos a quienes los habitantes de Jerusalén han dicho: «Alejaos del SEÑOR; a nosotros se nos ha dado esta tierra en posesión^a». 16 Por tanto, di: «Así dice el Señor DIOS: “Aunque yo los había echado lejos entre las naciones, y aunque yo los había dispersado por las tierras, sin embargo fui para ellos un santuario^a por poco tiempo en las tierras adonde habían ido”». 17 Por tanto di: «Así dice el Señor DIOS: “Yo os recogeré de entre los pueblos y os reuniré de las tierras entre las cuales habéis sido dispersados, y os daré la tierra de Israel^a”». 18 Cuando lleguen allí, quitarán de ella todas sus cosas detestables y todas sus abominaciones^a. 19 Yo les daré un solo corazón y pondré un espíritu nuevo dentro de ellos¹. Y quitaré de su carne el corazón de piedra^a y les daré un corazón de carne^b, 20 para que anden en mis estatutos, guarden mis ordenanzas^a y los cumplan. Entonces serán mi pueblo y yo seré su Dios^b. 21 Pero en cuanto a aquellos cuyo corazón va detrás de sus cosas detestables y abominaciones^1a, haré recaer su conducta sobre su cabeza—declara el Señor DIOS^b.

22 Entonces los querubines alzaron sus alas con las ruedas a su lado^a, y la gloria del Dios de Israel estaba por encima, sobre ellos^b. 23 La gloria del SEÑOR se elevó de en medio de la ciudad^a, y se detuvo sobre el monte que está al oriente de la ciudad^b. 24 Y el Espíritu me levantó^a y me llevó a Caldea¹, a los desterrados, en visión por el Espíritu de Dios. Y se alejó² de mí la visión que había visto^b. 25 Entonces hablé a los desterrados de todas las cosas que el SEÑOR me había mostrado^a.

Moreover, the ^aSpirit lifted me up and brought me to the gate of the LORD’S house, which faced eastward. And behold, at the entrance of the gate there were twenty-five men; and I saw among them Jaazaniah the son of Azzur and ^bPelatiah the son of Benaiah, princes of the people. 2 Then the Spirit said to me, “Son of man, these are the men who devise evil and ^agive wicked advice in this city, 3 who say, ‘Is not the time near to build houses? This ^acity is secure just like the pot and we are the meat in it.’ 4 Therefore, ^aprophesy against them; prophesy, son of man!”

5 Then the Spirit of the LORD fell upon me, and He said to me, “Say, ‘Thus says the LORD, “This is what you think, house of Israel, for ^aI know ^byour thoughts. 6 You have ^amultiplied your slain in this city, and you have filled its streets with the corpses of righteous men.” 7 Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD, “Your ^adead whom you have laid in the midst of your city are the meat and this city is the pot; but I shall ^bforce you out of the security of it. 8 You have ^afeared the sword; so I will ^bbring a sword upon you,” says the Lord GOD. 9 “And I will bring you out of the midst of the city and hand you over to ^astrangers and ^bexecute judgment against you. 10 You will ^afall by the sword; I will judge and punish you in front of your neighbors at the ^bborder of the land of Israel; and you will know without any doubt that I am the LORD. 11 This city will ^anot be a pot for you, nor will you be meat safe in it, but I will judge you at the border of Israel. 12 And you will know without any doubt that I am the LORD; for you have not walked in My statutes nor have you ^aexecuted My ordinances, but you have acted in accordance with the ordinances of the ^bnations around you.”’”

13 Now it came about while I was prophesying, that ^aPelatiah the son of Benaiah died. Then I fell face downward and cried out loudly, “^bAlas, Lord GOD! Will You bring the remnant of Israel to a complete end?”

14 Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 15 “Son of man, your brothers, your relatives, your fellow exiles and the whole house of Israel, all of them, are those to whom the present inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, ‘Go far away from the LORD; this land has been given to ^aus as a possession.’ 16 Therefore say, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “Though I had removed Israel far away among the nations and though I had scattered them among the countries, yet I have been a ^asanctuary for them for a little while in the countries to which they had gone.”’ 17 Therefore say, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “I will ^agather you from the peoples and assemble you out of the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give back to you the land of Israel.”’ 18 When they return there, they will ^aremove from it all traces of its ^bdetestable things and all its repulsive things (remnants of paganism) . 19 And I will ^agive them one heart a new heart, and put a new spirit within them. I will take from them the ^bheart of stone, and will give them a ^cheart of flesh that is responsive to My touch, Ezek 18:31; 36:26; 2+@Cor 3:3 20 that they may ^awalk in My statutes and keep My ordinances and do them. Then they shall be ^bMy people, and I will be their God. 21 But as for those whose heart longs for and follows after their ^adetestable things and their repulsive things associated with idolatry, on their own head I will ^brepay them in full for their vile conduct,” says the Lord GOD.

22 Then the cherubim ^alifted up their wings with the wheels beside them, and ^bthe Shekinah glory of the God of Israel hovered over them. 23 Then the ^aglory and brilliance of the LORD went up from the midst of the city and ^bpaused over the mountain, the Mount of Olives which is east of the city. 24 And the ^aSpirit lifted me up and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God to the exiles in Chaldea (Babylonia) . Then the vision that I had seen ^bleft me. 25 Then I ^atold the exiles everything that the LORD had shown me.
