Profecía¹ de la palabra del SEÑOR acerca de Israel.

El SEÑOR que extiende los cielos^a, pone los cimientos de la tierra^b y forma el espíritu del hombre dentro de él^c, declara: 2 He aquí, yo haré de Jerusalén una copa de vértigo para todos los pueblos de alrededor^a, y cuando haya asedio contra Jerusalén, también lo habrá contra Judá^b. 3 Y sucederá aquel día que haré de Jerusalén una piedra pesada para todos los pueblos^a; todos los que la levanten serán severamente desgarrados^b. Y contra ella se congregarán todas las naciones de la tierra^c. 4 Aquel día—declara el SEÑOR—heriré a todo caballo de espanto, y a su jinete, de locura. Pero sobre la casa de Judá abriré mis ojos, mientras hiero de ceguera a todo caballo de los pueblos. 5 Entonces los jefes de familias de Judá dirán en su corazón: «Gran apoyo para nosotros¹ son los habitantes de Jerusalén por el SEÑOR de los ejércitos, su Dios». 6 Aquel día haré de los jefes de familias de Judá como brasero de fuego entre leños, y como antorcha ardiendo entre gavillas, y consumirán a diestra y a siniestra a todos los pueblos de alrededor^a, y Jerusalén será habitada de nuevo en su lugar, en Jerusalén^b. 7 El SEÑOR salvará primero las tiendas de Judá^a, para que la gloria de la casa de David^b y la gloria de los habitantes de Jerusalén no se engrandezca sobre Judá. 8 Aquel día el SEÑOR defenderá a los habitantes de Jerusalén^a, y el débil¹ entre ellos aquel día será como David^b, y la casa de David será como Dios^c, como el ángel del SEÑOR delante de ellos^d. 9 Y sucederá aquel día que me dispondré a¹ destruir a todas las naciones que vengan contra Jerusalén^a.

10 Y derramaré sobre la casa de David y sobre los habitantes de Jerusalén, el Espíritu¹ de gracia y de súplica^a, y me mirarán a mí, a quien han traspasado^b. Y se lamentarán por Él, como quien se lamenta por un hijo único^c, y llorarán por Él, como se llora por un primogénito. 11 Aquel día habrá gran lamentación^a en Jerusalén, como la lamentación de Hadad-rimón en la llanura¹ de Meguido². 12 Y se lamentará la tierra, cada familia por su lado: la familia de la casa de David por su lado, y sus mujeres por su lado; la familia de la casa de Natán por su lado, y sus mujeres por su lado; 13 la familia de la casa de Leví por su lado, y sus mujeres por su lado; la familia de los simeítas por su lado, y sus mujeres por su lado; 14 todas las demás familias, cada familia por su lado, y sus mujeres por su lado.

The ¹oracle (a burdensome message) of the word of the LORD concerning Israel.

Thus declares the LORD who ^astretches out the heavens and ^blays the foundation of the earth and ^cforms the spirit of man within him: 2 “Behold, I am going to make Jerusalem a ^acup that causes reeling (staggering) to all the surrounding peoples; and when the siege is against Jerusalem, it will also be against ^bJudah. 3 And in that day I will make Jerusalem a heavy ^astone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be ^bseverely injured. And all the ^cnations of the earth will come and be gathered against it. 4 In that day,” declares the LORD, “I will strike every horse with panic and his rider with madness; but I will open My eyes and watch over the house of Judah, and will strike every horse of the opposing nations with blindness. 5 Then the clans of Judah will say in their hearts, ‘The inhabitants of Jerusalem are our strength in the LORD of hosts, their God.’

6 “In that day I will make the clans of Judah like a ^afirepot in a woodpile, and like a flaming torch among sheaves of grain. They will devour all the surrounding peoples on the right hand and on the left; and ^bthe people of Jerusalem will again live securely in their own place, in Jerusalem. 7 The LORD shall ^asave the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of the house of ^bDavid and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem will not be magnified above Judah. 8 In that day the LORD will ^adefend the people of Jerusalem, and the one who ^bis impaired among them in that day of persecution will become strong and noble like David; and the house of David ¹will be like ^cGod, like the ^2dAngel of the LORD who is before them. 9 And in that day I will ^aseek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

10 “I will ^apour out on the house of David and on the people of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace (unmerited favor) and supplication. And they will look at Me whom they have ^bpierced; and they will mourn for Him as one ^cmourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him as one who weeps bitterly over a firstborn. John 19:37; Rev 1:7 11 In that day there shall be a great ^amourning in Jerusalem, like the mourning of the city of Hadadrimmon in the Valley of ¹Megiddo over beloved King ²Josiah. 2+@Chr 35:22-25 12 The land will mourn, every family by itself; the royal family of the house of David by itself and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Nathan David’s son by itself and their wives by themselves; 13 the priestly family of the house of Levi by itself and their wives by themselves; the family of Shimei grandson of Levi by itself and their wives by themselves; 14 all the families that remain, each by itself, and their wives by themselves each with an overwhelming individual regret for having blindly rejected their Messiah.

The pronouncement of the word of the LORD concerning Israel:

The LORD who ^astretches out the heavens, ^blays the foundation of the earth, and ^cforms the spirit of a person within him, declares: 2 “Behold, I am going to make Jerusalem a ^acup ¹that causes staggering to all the peoples around; and when the siege is against Jerusalem, it will also be against ^bJudah. 3 It will come about on that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy ^astone for all the peoples; all who lift it will ^binjure themselves severely. And all the ^cnations of the earth will be gathered against it. 4 On that day,” declares the LORD, “I will strike every horse with confusion and its rider with insanity. But I will ¹watch over the house of Judah, while I strike every horse of the peoples with blindness. 5 Then the ¹clans of Judah will say in their hearts, ‘The inhabitants of Jerusalem are a ²strong support for us through the LORD of armies, their God.’

6 “On that day I will make the ¹clans of Judah like a ^afirepot among pieces of wood and a flaming torch among sheaves, so they will consume on the right and on the left all the surrounding peoples, while ²the ^binhabitants of Jerusalem again live on their own sites in Jerusalem. 7 The LORD also will ^asave the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of the house of ^bDavid and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem will not be greater than Judah. 8 On that day the LORD will ^aprotect the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the one who ^1bis feeble among them on that day will be like David, and the house of David will be like ^cGod, like the ^dangel of the LORD before them. 9 And on that day I will ^aseek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

10 “And I will ^apour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem ¹the Spirit of grace and of pleading, so that they will look at Me whom they ^bpierced; and they will mourn for Him, like one ^cmourning for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn. 11 On that day the ^amourning in Jerusalem will be great, like the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the ¹plain of ²Megiddo. 12 The land will mourn, every family by itself; the family of the house of David by itself and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Nathan by itself and their wives by themselves; 13 the family of the house of Levi by itself and their wives by themselves; the family of the Shimeites by itself and their wives by themselves; 14 all the families that are left, every family by itself, and their wives by themselves.
