Así que, nosotros los que somos fuertes, debemos sobrellevar las flaquezas de los débiles^a y no agradarnos a nosotros mismos. 2 Cada uno de nosotros agrade a su prójimo en lo que es bueno para su edificación^1a. 3 Pues ni aun Cristo se agradó a sí mismo^a; antes bien, como está escrito: LOS VITUPERIOS DE LOS QUE TE INJURIABAN CAYERON SOBRE MI^b. 4 Porque todo lo que fue escrito en tiempos pasados, para nuestra enseñanza se escribió^a, a fin de que por medio de la paciencia¹ y del consuelo de las Escrituras tengamos esperanza. 5 Y que el Dios de la paciencia¹ y del consuelo^a os conceda tener el mismo sentir los unos para con los otros^b conforme a Cristo Jesús, 6 para que unánimes, a una voz¹, glorifiquéis al Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo^a.

7 Por tanto, aceptaos los unos a los otros^a, como también Cristo nos¹ aceptó para gloria de Dios. 8 Pues os digo que Cristo se hizo servidor de la circuncisión^a para demostrar la verdad de Dios, para confirmar las promesas dadas a los padres^b, 9 y para que los gentiles^a glorifiquen a Dios^b por su misericordia; como está escrito:POR TANTO, TE CONFESARÉ ENTRE LOS GENTILES,Y A TU NOMBRE CANTARÉ^c. 10 Y vuelve a decir:REGOCIJAOS, GENTILES, CON SU PUEBLO^a. 11 Y de nuevo:ALABAD AL SEÑOR TODOS LOS GENTILES,Y ALÁBENLE TODOS LOS PUEBLOS^a. 12 Y a su vez, Isaías dice:RETOÑARÁ¹ LA RAÍZ DE ISAÍ^a,EL QUE SE LEVANTA A REGIR A LOS GENTILES;LOS GENTILES PONDRÁN EN ÉL SU ESPERANZA^b. 13 Y el Dios de la esperanza os llene de todo gozo y paz^a en el creer, para que abundéis en esperanza por el poder del Espíritu Santo^b.

14 En cuanto a vosotros, hermanos míos, yo mismo estoy también convencido de que vosotros estáis llenos de bondad^a, llenos de todo conocimiento^b y capaces también de amonestaros los unos a los otros. 15 Pero os he escrito con atrevimiento sobre algunas cosas¹, para así hacer que las recordéis otra vez, por la gracia que me fue dada por Dios^a, 16 para ser ministro de Cristo Jesús a los gentiles^a, ministrando a manera de sacerdote¹ el evangelio de Dios^b, a fin de que la ofrenda que hago de los gentiles sea aceptable^c, santificada por el Espíritu Santo. 17 Por tanto, en Cristo Jesús he hallado razón para gloriarme^a en las cosas que se refieren a Dios^b. 18 Porque no me atreveré a hablar de nada sino de lo que Cristo ha hecho¹ por medio de mí^a para la obediencia de los gentiles, en palabra y en obra, 19 con el poder de señales¹ y prodigios^a, en el poder del Espíritu^b de Dios; de manera que desde Jerusalén^c y por los alrededores hasta el Ilírico^d he predicado en toda su plenitud² el evangelio de Cristo. 20 De esta manera me esforcé en anunciar el evangelio^a, no donde Cristo ya era conocido¹, para no edificar sobre el fundamento de otro^b; 21 sino como está escrito:AQUELLOS A QUIENES NUNCA LES FUE ANUNCIADO ACERCA DE ÉL, VERÁN,Y LOS QUE NO HAN OÍDO, ENTENDERÁN^a.

22 Por esta razón muchas veces me he visto impedido de ir a vosotros^a, 23 pero ahora, no quedando ya¹ más lugares² para mí en estas regiones, y puesto que por muchos años he tenido un gran deseo de ir a vosotros^a, 24 cuando vaya a España^a iré a vosotros. Porque espero veros al pasar y que me ayudéis a continuar hacia allá^b, después de que haya disfrutado un poco¹ de vuestra compañía^c. 25 Pero ahora voy a Jerusalén^a para el servicio de los santos^b, 26 pues Macedonia^a y Acaya^b han tenido a bien hacer una colecta para los pobres de entre los santos que están en Jerusalén. 27 Sí, tuvieron a bien hacerlo, y a la verdad que están en deuda con ellos. Porque si los gentiles han participado de sus bienes espirituales, también están obligados a servir a los santos¹ en los bienes materiales^a. 28 Así que cuando haya cumplido esto y les haya entregado esta ofrenda^1a, iré a España llegando de paso a veros^b. 29 Y sé que cuando vaya a vosotros^a, iré en la plenitud de la bendición de Cristo.

30 Os ruego, hermanos, por nuestro Señor Jesucristo y por el amor del Espíritu^a, que os esforcéis juntamente conmigo en vuestras oraciones a Dios por mí^b, 31 para que sea librado^a de los que son desobedientes¹ en Judea, y que mi servicio a Jerusalén^b sea aceptable a los santos^c, 32 y para que con gozo llegue a vosotros^a por la voluntad de Dios^b, y encuentre confortante reposo con vosotros. 33 El Dios de paz sea con todos vosotros^a. Amén.

Now we who are strong in our convictions and faith ought to patiently put up with the weaknesses of ^athose who are not strong, and not just please ourselves. 2 Let each one of us make it a practice to ^aplease his ¹neighbor for his good, to ^bbuild him up spiritually. 3 For even ^aChrist did not please Himself; but as it is written in Scripture, “^bTHE REPROACHES OF THOSE WHO REPROACHED YOU (the Father) FELL ON ME (the Son) .” Ps 69:9 4 For ^awhatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope and overflow with confidence in His promises. 5 Now may the ^aGod who gives endurance and who supplies encouragement grant that you ^bbe of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, 6 so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify and praise and honor ^athe God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

7 Therefore, continue to ^aaccept and welcome one another, just as Christ has accepted and welcomed us to the glory of our great God. 8 For I tell you that Christ has become a servant and a minister to ^athe circumcision (Jews) on behalf of God’s truth, to confirm and verify ^bthe promises made to the fathers, 9 and for ^athe Gentiles to ^bglorify God for His mercy to them, since God had no covenant with them. As it is written and forever remains written,“^cTHEREFORE I PRAISE YOU AMONG THE GENTILES,AND SING PRAISES TO YOUR NAME.” Ps 18:49 10 Again it says,“^aREJOICE and CELEBRATE, O GENTILES, ALONG WITH HIS PEOPLE.” Deut 32:43 11 And again,“^aPRAISE THE LORD ALL YOU GENTILES,AND LET ALL THE PEOPLES PRAISE HIM!” Ps 117:1 12 Again Isaiah says,“^aTHERE SHALL BE ^bA ROOT OF ¹JESSE,HE WHO ARISES TO RULE as King OVER THE GENTILES,^cIN HIM SHALL THE GENTILES HOPE.” Is 11:1, 10; Rev 5:5; 22:16 13 May the God of hope fill you with all ^ajoy and peace in believing through the experience of your faith that ^bby the power of the Holy Spirit you will abound in hope and overflow with confidence in His promises.

14 Personally I am convinced about you, my brothers and sisters, that you yourselves are full of ^agoodness, amply filled with ^ball spiritual knowledge, and competent to admonish and counsel and instruct one another. 15 Still, on some points I have written to you very boldly and without reservation to remind you about them again, because of ^athe grace that was given to me from God, 16 to be ^aa minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles. I minister as a priest the ^bgospel of God, in order that my ^coffering of the Gentiles may become acceptable to Him, sanctified made holy and set apart for His purpose by the Holy Spirit. 17 In Christ Jesus, then, I have found legitimate ^areason for boasting in ^bthings related to my service to God. 18 For I will not even presume to speak of anything except what ^aChrist has done through me as an instrument in His hands, resulting in the obedience of the Gentiles to the gospel, by word and deed, 19 with the power of ^asigns and wonders, and all of it ^bin the power of the Spirit. So starting ^cfrom Jerusalem and as ^dfar away as ¹Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel faithfully preaching the good news of Christ where it had not before been preached. 20 Accordingly I set a goal to ^apreach the gospel, not where Christ’s name was already known, ^bso that I would not build on another man’s foundation; 21 but instead I would act on this goal as it is written in Scripture,“^aTHEY WHO HAD NO NEWS OF HIM SHALL SEE,AND THEY WHO HAVE NOT HEARD of Him SHALL UNDERSTAND.” Is 52:15

22 This goal—my commitment to this principle is the reason why ^aI have often been prevented from coming to you in Rome. 23 But now, with no further place for work in these regions, and since I ^ahave longed for many years to come to you— 24 whenever I ^ago on my trip to Spain—I hope to see you as I pass through Rome, and to be ^bhelped on my journey there by you, after I have first ^cenjoyed your company for a little while. 25 But for now, ^aI am going to Jerusalem to ^bserve the saints (Jewish believers) . 26 For Gentile believers in ^1aMacedonia and ^bAchaia have been pleased to make a contribution for the poor among the saints (Jewish believers) in Jerusalem. 27 They were pleased to do it, and they are indebted to them. For ^aif the Gentiles have come to share in their spiritual things, then they are indebted to serve them also in tangible material things. 28 Therefore, when I have finished this mission and ^ahave safely given to them what has been raised, I will ^bgo on by way of you to Spain. 29 I know that when ^aI do come to you, I will come in the abundant blessing of Christ.

30 I urge you, believers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by ^athe love of the Spirit, to ^bjoin together with me in your prayers to God in my behalf, 31 and pray that I may be ^arescued from the unbelievers in Judea, and that my ^bservice for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the ^csaints (Jewish believers) there; 32 so that by ^aGod’s will ^bI may come to you with joy and find rest in your company. 33 May ^athe God of peace be with you all! Amen.

Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of ^athose without strength, and not just please ourselves. 2 Each of us is to ^aplease his neighbor ¹for his good, to his ^bedification. 3 For even ^aChrist did not please Himself, but as it is written: “^bTHE TAUNTS OF THOSE WHO TAUNT YOU HAVE FALLEN ON ME.” 4 For ^awhatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. 5 Now may the ^aGod ¹who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you ^bto be of the same mind with one another, according to Christ Jesus, 6 so that with one purpose and one ¹voice you may glorify ^athe God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

14 And concerning you, my brothers and sisters, I myself also am convinced that you yourselves are full of ^agoodness, filled with ^ball knowledge and able also to admonish one another. 15 But I have written very boldly to you on some points so as to remind you again, because of ^athe grace that was given to me ¹from God, 16 to be ^aa minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, ministering as a priest the ^bgospel of God, so that my ^coffering of the Gentiles may become acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit. 17 Therefore in Christ Jesus I have found ^areason for boasting in ^bthings pertaining to God. 18 ^aFor I will not presume to speak of anything ¹except what ^bChrist has accomplished through me, ²resulting in the obedience of the Gentiles by word and deed, 19 in the power of ^1asigns and wonders, ^bin the power of the Spirit; so that ^cfrom Jerusalem and all around as ^dfar as Illyricum I have ²fully preached the gospel of Christ. 20 And in this way I aspired to ^apreach the gospel, not where Christ was already known by name, ^bso that I would not build on another person’s foundation; 21 but just as it is written:“^aTHEY WHO HAVE NOT BEEN TOLD ABOUT HIM WILL SEE,AND THEY WHO HAVE NOT HEARD WILL UNDERSTAND.”

For ^aif the Gentiles have shared in their spiritual things, they are indebted to do them a service also in material things. 28 Therefore, when I have finished this, and ^ahave ¹put my seal on this fruit of theirs, I will ^bgo on by way of you to Spain. 29 I know that when ^aI come to you, I will come in the fullness of the blessing of Christ.

30 Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by ^athe love of the Spirit, to ^bstrive together with me in your prayers to God for me, 31 that I may be ^arescued from those who are disobedient in Judea, and that my ^bservice for Jerusalem may prove acceptable to the ^1csaints; 32 so that ^aI may come to you in joy by ^bthe will of God and relax in your company. 33 Now ^athe God of peace be with you all. Amen.
