La sabiduría protege del mal

Hijo mío, si recibes mis palabras^a,y atesoras mis mandamientos dentro de ti^b,2 da oído a la sabiduría,inclina tu corazón al entendimiento^a;3 porque si clamas a la inteligencia,y alzas¹ tu voz al entendimiento,4 si la buscas como a plata^a,y la procuras como a tesoros escondidos^b,5 entonces entenderás el temor¹ del SEÑOR^a,y descubrirás el conocimiento de Dios.6 Porque el SEÑOR da sabiduría^a,de su boca vienen el conocimiento y la inteligencia.7 Él reserva la prosperidad¹ para los rectos,es escudo para los que andan en integridad^a,8 guarda las sendas del juicio,y preserva el camino de sus santos^a.9 Entonces discernirás justicia y juicio^a,equidad y todo buen sendero^b;10 porque la sabiduría entrará en tu corazón^a,y el conocimiento será grato a tu alma^b;11 la discreción velará sobre ti^a,el entendimiento te protegerá,12 para librarte de la senda del mal^a,del hombre que habla cosas perversas^b;13 de los que dejan las sendas de rectitud^a,para andar por los caminos tenebrosos^b;14 de los que se deleitan en hacer el mal,y se regocijan en las perversidades del mal^a,15 cuyas sendas son torcidas^a,y se extravían en sus senderos.16 Ella te librará de la mujer extraña^a,de la desconocida¹ que lisonjea con sus palabras^b,17 la cual deja al compañero de su juventud^a,y olvida el pacto de su Dios^b;18 porque su casa se inclina hacia la muerte,y sus senderos hacia los muertos¹^a;19 todos los que a ella van, no vuelven^a,ni alcanzan las sendas de la vida^b.20 Por tanto andarás en el camino de los buenos^a,y guardarás las sendas de los justos^b;21 porque los rectos morarán en la tierra^a,y los íntegros¹^b permanecerán en ella;22 pero los impíos serán cortados de la tierra^a,y los pérfidos^b serán desarraigados de ella^c.

The Pursuit of Wisdom Brings Security

My son, if you will ^areceive my wordsAnd ^btreasure my commandments within you,2 ^aSo that your ear is attentive to skillful and godly wisdom,And apply your heart to understanding seeking it conscientiously and striving for it eagerly;3 Yes, if you cry out for insight,And lift up your voice for understanding;4 If you seek skillful and godly wisdom as you would ^asilverAnd search for her as you would ^bhidden treasures;5 Then you will understand the reverent ^afear of the LORD that is, worshiping Him and regarding Him as truly awesomeAnd discover the knowledge of God. Prov 1:76 ^aFor the LORD gives skillful and godly wisdom;From His mouth come knowledge and understanding.7 He stores away sound wisdom for the righteous those who are in right standing with Him;He is a ^ashield to those who walk in integrity those of honorable character and moral courage,8 He guards the paths of justice;And He ^apreserves the way of His saints (believers) . 1+@Sam 2:9; Ps 66:8, 99 Then you will understand ^arighteousness and justice in every circumstanceAnd integrity and every ^bgood path.10 For skillful and godly ^awisdom will enter your heartAnd ^bknowledge will be pleasant to your soul.11 Discretion will ^awatch over you,Understanding and discernment will guard you,12 To ^akeep you from the way of evil and the evil man,From the man who speaks ^bperverse things;13 From those who ^aleave the paths of uprightnessTo walk in the ^bways of darkness;14 Who ^afind joy in doing evilAnd delight in the perversity of evil,15 Whose paths are ^acrooked,And who are devious in their ways;16 To ^akeep you from the immoral woman;From the ^bseductress with her flattering words, Prov 2:1117 Who leaves the ^acompanion (husband) of her youth,And forgets the ^bcovenant of her God.18 For ^aher house leads down to deathAnd her paths lead to the dead;19 None ^awho go to her return again,Nor do they regain the ^bpaths of life—20 So you will ^awalk in the way of good men that is, those of personal integrity, moral courage and honorable character,And keep to the ^bpaths of the righteous.21 For ^athe upright those who are in right standing with God will live in the landAnd those of integrity who are ^bblameless in God’s sight will remain in it;22 But ^athe wicked will be cut off from the landAnd ^bthe treacherous shall be forcibly ^cuprooted and removed from it.

My son, if you will ^areceive my wordsAnd ^btreasure my commandments within you,2 ^aMake your ear attentive to wisdom;Incline your heart to understanding.3 For if you cry out for insight,And ¹raise your voice for understanding;4 If you seek her as ^asilverAnd search for her as for ^bhidden treasures;5 Then you will understand the ^afear of the LORD,And discover the knowledge of God.6 For ^athe LORD gives wisdom;From His mouth come knowledge and understanding.7 He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;He is a ^ashield to those who walk in integrity,8 Guarding the paths of justice,And He ^awatches over the way of His godly ones.9 Then you will discern ^arighteousness, justice,And integrity, and every ^bgood path.10 For ^awisdom will enter your heart,And ^bknowledge will be delightful to your soul;11 Discretion will ^awatch over you,Understanding will guard you,12 To ^arescue you from the way of evil,From a person who speaks ^bperverse things;13 From those who ^aleave the paths of uprightnessTo walk in the ^bways of darkness;14 Who ^adelight in doing evilAnd rejoice in the perversity of evil;15 Whose paths are ^acrooked,And who are devious in their ways;16 To ^arescue you from the strange woman,From the ^bforeign woman who flatters with her words,17 Who leaves the ^acompanion of her youthAnd forgets the ^bcovenant of her God;18 For ^aher house sinks down to death,And her tracks lead to the ¹dead;19 None ^awho go to her return,Nor do they reach the ^bpaths of life.20 So you will ^awalk in the way of good peopleAnd keep to the ^bpaths of the righteous.21 For ^athe upright will live in the land,And ^bthe blameless will remain in it;22 But ^athe wicked will be eliminated from the land,And ^bthe treacherous will be ^ctorn away from it.
