Salmo de alabanza de David

^aHabló David las palabras de este cántico^b al SEÑOR el día que el SEÑOR lo libró de la mano¹ de todos sus enemigos y de la mano² de Saúl. 2 Y dijo:El SEÑOR es mi roca¹, mi baluarte y mi libertador^a;

3 mi Dios, mi roca en quien me refugio^a;mi escudo^b y el cuerno¹ de mi salvación^c, mi altura inexpugnable y mi refugio^d;salvador mío, tú me salvas de la violencia.4 Invoco al SEÑOR, que es digno de ser alabado^a,y soy salvo de mis enemigos.5 Las ondas de la muerte me cercaron^a,los torrentes de iniquidad¹ me atemorizaron^b;6 los lazos del Seol¹ me rodearon^a,las redes de la muerte surgieron ante mí.7 En mi angustia invoqué al SEÑOR,sí, clamé¹ a mi Dios;desde su templo oyó mi voz^a,y mi clamor llegó a sus oídos.8 Entonces la tierra se estremeció y tembló,los cimientos de los cielos temblarony fueron sacudidos^a, porque Él se indignó^b.9 Humo subió de su nariz¹,y el fuego de su boca consumía^a;carbones fueron por él encendidos^b.10 Inclinó también los cielos, y descendiócon densas tinieblas debajo de sus pies^a.11 Cabalgó sobre un querubín^a, y voló;y apareció¹ sobre las alas del viento^b.12 De tinieblas hizo pabellones a su alrededor,abundantes aguas, densos nubarrones^a.13 Del fulgor de su presenciaascuas de fuego se encendieron^a.14 Tronó el SEÑOR desde los cielos,y el Altísimo dio su voz^a.15 Y envió saetas, y los dispersó,relámpagos, y los confundió^a.16 Entonces los abismos¹ del mar aparecieron,los cimientos del mundo quedaron al descubierto,por la reprensión del SEÑOR,por el soplo del aliento^a de su nariz.17 Extendió la mano desde lo alto y me tomó^a;me sacó de las muchas aguas^b.18 Me libró de mi poderoso enemigo,de los que me aborrecían, pues eran más fuertes que yo.19 Se enfrentaron a mí el día de mi infortunio,mas el SEÑOR fue mi sostén^a.20 También me sacó a un lugar espacioso^a;me rescató, porque se complació en mí^b.21 El SEÑOR me ha premiado conforme a mi justicia;conforme a la pureza de mis manos^a me ha recompensado^b.22 Porque he guardado los caminos del SEÑOR^a,y no me he apartado impíamente de mi Dios.23 Pues todas sus ordenanzas estaban delante de mí,y en cuanto a sus estatutos, no me aparté de ellos^a.24 También fui íntegro¹ para con Él^a,y me guardé de mi iniquidad.25 Por tanto el SEÑOR me ha recompensado conforme a mi justicia,conforme a mi pureza^a delante de sus ojos.26 Con el benigno¹ te muestras benigno²^a,con el hombre íntegro³ te muestras íntegro⁴;27 con el puro eres puro^a,y con el perverso eres sagaz¹^b.28 Salvas al pueblo afligido^a,pero tus ojos están sobre los altivosa quienes tú humillas^b.29 Porque tú eres mi lámpara, oh SEÑOR;el SEÑOR alumbra mis tinieblas^a.30 Pues contigo aplastaré ejércitos^a,con mi Dios escalaré murallas.31 En cuanto a Dios, su camino es perfecto¹^a;acrisolada es la palabra del SEÑOR^b;Él es escudo a todos los que a Él se acogen^c.32 Pues ¿quién es Dios, fuera del SEÑOR^a?¿Y quién es roca^b, sinosolo nuestro Dios?33 Dios es mi fortaleza poderosa^a,y el que pone¹ al íntegro² en su³ camino.34 Él hace mis¹ pies como de ciervas^a,y me afirma en mis alturas^b.35 Él adiestra mis manos para la batalla^a,y mis brazos para tensar el arco de bronce^b.36 Tú me has dado también el escudo de tu salvación^a,y tu ayuda¹ me engrandece.37 Ensanchas mis pasos debajo de mí,y mis pies¹ no han resbalado^a.38 Perseguí a mis enemigos y los destruí,y no me volví hasta acabarlos^a.39 Los he consumido y los he destrozado, y no pudieron levantarse;cayeron debajo de mis pies^a.40 Pues tú me has ceñido con fuerza para la batalla;has subyugado¹ debajo de mí a los que contra mí se levantaron^a.41 También has hecho que mis enemigos me vuelvan las espaldas¹^a,y destruí² a los que me odiaban.42 Clamaron¹^a, mas no hubo quién los salvara;aun al SEÑOR clamaron, mas no les respondió^b.43 Entonces los pulvericé, como polvo de la tierra^a,como lodo de las calles los trituré y los pisé^b.44 Tú me has librado también de las contiendas de mi pueblo^a;me has guardado para ser¹ cabeza de naciones^b;pueblo que yo no conocía me sirve^c.45 Los extranjeros me fingen obediencia¹^a,al oírme, me obedecen.46 Los extranjeros desfallecen,y salen temblando¹^a de sus fortalezas².47 El SEÑOR vive, bendita sea mi roca,y ensalzado sea Dios, roca¹ de mi salvación^a,48 el Dios que por mí hace venganza^a,y hace caer pueblos debajo de mí^b;49 el que me libra¹ de mis enemigos.Tú me exaltas sobre los que se levantan contra mí^a;me rescatas del hombre violento^b.50 Por tanto, te alabaré, oh SEÑOR, entre las naciones,y cantaré alabanzas a tu nombre^a.51 Él es torre de salvación¹ a su rey^a,y muestra misericordia a su ungido^b,a David y a su descendencia² para siempre^c.

Gen 15:14 “I call on the LORD, ^awho is worthy to be praised,And I am saved from my enemies.5 “For ^athe waves of death encompassed me;^bThe torrents of ¹destruction overwhelmed and terrified me.6 “^aThe cords of Sheol surrounded me;The snares of death confronted me.7 “^aIn my distress I called upon the LORD;I cried out to my God,And from His temple in the heavens He heard my voice;My cry for help came into His ears.8 “Then ^athe earth shook and quaked,^bThe foundations of the heavens trembledAnd were shaken, because He was angry.9 “Smoke went up out of His nostrils,And devouring ^afire from His mouth;^bCoals were kindled by it.10 “He bowed the heavens also, and came down^aWith thick darkness under His feet.11 “^aHe rode on a cherub and flew;He appeared upon ^bthe wings of the wind.12 “^aHe made darkness ¹canopies around Him,A mass of waters, thick clouds of the skies.13 “Out of the brightness before Him^aCoals of fire were set aflame.14 “^aThe LORD thundered from heaven,And the Most High uttered His voice.15 “^aHe sent out arrows and scattered them;Lightning, and confused them.16 “The channels of the sea appeared,The foundations of the world were uncoveredAt the rebuke of the LORD,^aAt the blast of the breath of His nostrils.17 “^aHe sent from above, He took me;^bHe drew me out of great waters.18 “He rescued me from my strong enemy,From those who hated me, for they were too mighty for me.19 “They came upon me in the day of my calamity,^aBut the LORD was my support.20 “^aHe also brought me out to an open place;He rescued me ^bbecause He delighted in me.21 “^aThe LORD has dealt with me according to my righteousness;^bAccording to the cleanness of my hands He has rewarded me.22 “^aFor I have kept the ways of the LORD,And have not acted wickedly against my God.23 “^aFor all His judgments (legal decisions) were before me,And from His statutes I did not turn aside.24 “^aI was also blameless before Him,And kept myself from wrongdoing.25 “^aTherefore the LORD has rewarded me according to my righteousness,According to my cleanness in His sight.26 “^aWith the loving and loyal You show Yourself loving and loyal,With the blameless You show Yourself blameless.27 “^aWith the pure You show Yourself pure,^bWith the perverted You show Yourself astute.28 “^aAnd You save the afflicted people;^bBut Your eyes are on the haughty whom You abase (humiliate) .29 “^aFor You, O LORD, are my lamp;The LORD illumines and dispels my darkness.30 “^aFor by You I can run upon a troop;By my God I can leap over a wall.31 “^aAs for God, His way is blameless and perfect;^bThe word of the LORD is tested.^cHe is a shield to all those who take refuge and trust in Him.32 “^aFor who is God, besides the LORD?^bAnd who is a rock, besides our God? 1+@Sam 2:233 “^aGod is my strong fortress;He sets the blameless in His way.34 “^aHe makes my feet like the doe’s feet firm and swift;^bHe sets me secure and confident on my high places.35 “^aHe trains my hands for war,^bSo that my arms can bend (pull back) a bow of bronze.36 “You have also given me ^athe shield of Your salvation,And Your help and gentleness make me great.37 “^aYou enlarge my steps under me,And my feet have not slipped.38 “I pursued my enemies and ^adestroyed them,And I did not turn back until they were consumed (eliminated) .39 “I consumed them and shattered them, so that they did not rise;^aThey fell under my feet.40 “For You have surrounded me with strength for the battle;^aYou have subdued under me those who stood against me.41 “You have also ^amade my enemies turn their backs to me in retreat,And I destroyed those who hated me.42 “^aThey looked, but there was no savior for them—^bEven to the LORD they looked, but He did not answer them.43 “^aThen I beat them as small as the dust of the earth;^bI crushed and stamped them as the mire (dirt, mud) of the streets.44 “^aYou also have rescued me from strife with my own people;^bYou have kept me as the head of the nations.^cPeople whom I have not known served me.45 “^aForeigners pretend obedience to me;As soon as they hear me, they obey me.46 “Foreigners lose heart;^aThey come trembling out of their strongholds.47 “The LORD lives, and blessed be my rock,And exalted be ^amy God, the rock of my salvation.48 “It is ^aGod who executes vengeance for me,^bAnd brings down and disciplines the peoples under me,49 Who also brings me out from my enemies.You even lift me above ^athose who rise up against me;^bYou rescue me from the violent man.50 “^aFor this I will give thanks and praise You, O LORD, among the nations;I will sing praises to Your name.51 “^aHe is a tower of salvation and great deliverance to His king,And ^bshows lovingkindness to His anointed,^cTo David and his offspring forever.”

^aNow David spoke ^bthe words of this song to the LORD on the day that the LORD had saved him from the ¹hand of all his enemies and from the ²hand of Saul. 2 He said,“^aThe LORD is my ¹rock and my fortress and my deliverer;

3 ¹^aMy God, my rock, in whom I take refuge,My ^bshield and ^cthe horn of my salvation, my stronghold and ^dmy refuge;My savior, You save me from violence.4 “I call upon the LORD, ^awho is worthy to be praised,And I am saved from my enemies.5 “For ^athe waves of death encompassed me;^bThe floods of ¹destruction terrified me;6 ^aThe ropes of ¹Sheol surrounded me;The snares of death confronted me.7 “^aIn my distress I called upon the LORD,Yes, I called out to my God;And from His temple He heard my voice,And my cry for help came into His ears.8 “Then ^athe earth shook and quaked,^bThe foundations of heaven were tremblingAnd were shaken, because He was angry.9 “Smoke went up ¹out of His nostrils,^aAnd fire from His mouth was devouring;^bCoals were kindled by it.10 “He also bowed the heavens down low, and came downWith ^athick darkness under His feet.11 “^aHe rode on a cherub and flew;He ¹appeared on ^bthe wings of the wind.12 “^aHe made darkness canopies around Him,A mass of waters, thick clouds of the sky.13 “From the brightness before Him^aCoals of fire were kindled.14 “^aThe LORD thundered from heaven,And the Most High uttered His voice.15 “^aAnd He shot arrows and scattered them,Lightning, and ¹routed them.16 “Then the channels of the sea appeared,The foundations of the world were exposedBy the rebuke of the LORD,^aFrom the blast of the breath of His nostrils.17 “^aHe sent from on high, He took me;^bHe drew me out of many waters.18 “He rescued me from my strong enemy,From those who hated me, for they were too strong for me.19 “They confronted me on the day of my disaster,^aBut the LORD was my support.20 “^aHe also brought me out into an open place;He rescued me, ^bbecause He delighted in me.21 “^aThe LORD has treated me in accordance with my righteousness;^bIn accordance with the cleanliness of my hands He has repaid me.22 “^aFor I have kept the ways of the LORD,And have not acted wickedly against my God.23 “^aFor all His ordinances were before me,And as for His statutes, I did not deviate from ¹them.24 “^aI was also ¹blameless toward Him,And I have kept myself from my wrongdoing.25 “^aSo the LORD has repaid me in accordance with my righteousness,In accordance with my cleanliness before His eyes.26 “^aWith the one who is faithful You show Yourself faithful,With the ¹blameless one You prove Yourself ²blameless;27 ^aWith the one who is pure You show Yourself pure,^bAnd with the crooked You ¹show Yourself astute.28 “^aAnd You save an afflicted people;^bBut Your eyes are on the haughty whom You humiliate.29 “^aFor You are my lamp, LORD;And the LORD illuminates my darkness.30 “^aFor by You I can run at a ¹troop of warriors;By my God I can leap over a wall.31 “^aAs for God, His way is ¹blameless;^bThe word of the LORD is refined;^cHe is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.32 “^aFor who is God, except the LORD?^bAnd who is a rock, except our God?33 “^aGod is my strong fortress;And He ¹sets the ²blameless on ³His way.34 “^aHe makes ¹my feet like deer’s feet,^bAnd sets me on my high places.35 “^aHe trains my hands for battle,^bSo that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.36 “You have also given me ^athe shield of Your salvation,And Your ¹help makes me great.37 “^aYou enlarge my steps under me,And my ¹feet have not slipped.38 “I pursued my enemies and ^aeliminated them,And I did not turn back until they were finished off.39 “And I have devoured them and smashed them, so that they would not rise;And ^athey fell under my feet.40 “For You have encircled me with strength for battle;You have forced ^athose who rose up against me to bow down under me.41 “You have also ^amade my enemies turn their backs to me,And I ¹destroyed those who hated me.42 “^aThey looked, but there was no one to save them;^bEven to the LORD, but He did not answer them.43 “^aThen I pulverized them as the dust of the earth;^bI crushed and trampled them like the mud of the streets.44 “^aYou have also saved me from the contentions of my people;^bYou have kept me as head of the nations;^cA people I have not known serve me.45 “^aForeigners pretend to obey me;As soon as they hear, they obey me.46 “Foreigners lose heart,^aAnd ¹come trembling out of their fortresses.47 “The LORD lives, and blessed be my Rock;And exalted be ¹^amy God, the rock of my salvation,48 ^aThe God who executes vengeance for me,^bAnd brings down peoples under me,49 Who also brings me out from my enemies;You also raise me above ^athose who rise up against me;^bYou rescue me from the violent person.50 “^aTherefore I will ¹give thanks to You, LORD, among the nations,And I will sing praises to Your name.51 “^aHe is a tower of ¹salvation to His king,And ^bshows favor to His anointed,^cTo David and his ²descendants forever.”
