2 Siempre damos gracias a Dios por todos vosotros^a, haciendo mención de vosotros en nuestras oraciones^b; 3 teniendo presente sin cesar delante de nuestro Dios y Padre^a vuestra obra de fe^b, vuestro trabajo de amor^c y la firmeza¹ de vuestra esperanza^d en² nuestro Señor Jesucristo; 4 sabiendo, hermanos amados de Dios^a, su elección de vosotros^b, 5 pues nuestro evangelio no vino a vosotros solamente en palabras^a, sino también en poder y en el Espíritu Santo^b y con plena convicción^1c; como sabéis qué clase de personas² demostramos ser³ entre vosotros^d por amor a vosotros. 6 Y vosotros vinisteis a ser imitadores de nosotros y del Señor^a, habiendo recibido^b la palabra^c, en medio de mucha tribulación, con el gozo del Espíritu Santo^d, 7 de manera que llegasteis a ser un ejemplo para todos los creyentes en Macedonia^a y en Acaya^b. 8 Porque saliendo de vosotros, la palabra del Señor^a ha resonado^b, nosolo en Macedonia^c y Acaya^d, sino que también por todas partes vuestra fe en¹ Dios se ha divulgado^e, de modo que nosotros no tenemos necesidad de hablar nada. 9 Pues ellos mismos cuentan acerca de nosotros, de la acogida¹ que tuvimos por parte de² vosotros^a, y de cómo os convertisteis de los ídolos^b a Dios^c para servir al Dios vivo y verdadero^d, 10 y esperar de los cielos a su Hijo^a, al cual resucitó de entre los muertos^b, es decir, a Jesús, quien nos libra^c de la ira venidera^d.

2 ^aWe give thanks to God always for all of you, continually ^bmentioning you in our prayers; 3 recalling unceasingly before ^aour God and Father your ^bwork energized by faith, and your service motivated by ^clove and ^dunwavering hope in the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1+@Thess 1:10 4 ^a1Brothers and sisters beloved by God, we know that ^bHe has chosen you; 5 for our ^agood news regarding salvation came to you not only in word, but also ^bin its inherent power and in the Holy Spirit and with ^cgreat conviction on our part. You know ^dwhat kind of men we proved to be among you for your benefit. 6 You became ^aimitators of us and through us of the Lord, ^bafter you welcomed our ^cmessage in a time of great trouble with the ^djoy supplied by the Holy Spirit; 7 so that you became an example to all the believers in ^1aMacedonia and in ^bAchaia. 8 For ^athe word of the Lord has ^bresounded from you and has echoed like thunder, not only in ^cMacedonia and ^dAchaia, but ^ein every place the news of your great faith in God has spread, so that we never need to say anything about it. 9 For they themselves report about us, telling what kind of ^areception we had among you, and how you ^bturned to God ^cfrom idols to serve ^dthe living and true God, 10 and to look forward and confidently ^await for the coming of His Son from heaven, whom He ^braised from the dead—Jesus, who personally ^crescues us from ^dthe coming wrath and draws us to Himself, granting us all the privileges and rewards of a new life with Him.
