Parábola de la viña

Cantaré ahora a mi amado,el canto de mi amado acerca de su viña.Mi bien amado tenía una viña en una fértil colina¹^a.2 La cavó por todas partes, quitó sus piedras,y la plantó de vides escogidas¹^a.Edificó una torre en medio de ella,y también excavó en ella un lagar²;y esperaba que produjera uvas buenas,perosolo produjo uvas silvestres³^b.

3 Y ahora, moradores de Jerusalén y hombres de Judá,juzgad entre mí y mi viña^a.4 ¿Qué más se puede hacer por mi viña,que¹ yo no haya hecho en ella^a?¿Por qué, cuando esperaba que produjera uvas buenas,produjo uvas silvestres²?5 Ahora pues, dejad que os digalo que yo he de hacer a mi viña:quitaré su vallado^a y será consumida;derribaré su muro^b y será hollada^c.6 Y haré que quede desolada^a;no será podada ni labrada,y crecerán zarzas y espinos.También mandaré a las nubes que no derramen¹ lluvia sobre ella^b.

7 Ciertamente, la viña del SEÑOR de los ejércitos es la casa de Israel,y los hombres de Judá su plantío delicioso^a.Él esperaba equidad, pero he aquí derramamiento de sangre^b;justicia, pero he aquí clamor.

Ayes contra los impíos

8 ¡Ay de los que juntáis casa con casa,y añadís campo a campohasta que no queda sitio alguno,para habitar vosotros solos en medio de la tierra^a!9 A mis oídos el SEÑOR de los ejércitos ha jurado:Ciertamente muchas casas^a serán desoladas^b,grandes y hermosas, pero sin moradores.10 Porque diez yugadas de viña produciránsolo un bato¹ de vino^a,y un homer² de semilla producirásolo un efa³ de grano^b.11 ¡Ay de los que se levantan muy de mañana para ir tras la bebida^a,de los que trasnochan para que el vino los encienda!12 En sus banquetes hay lira y arpa, pandero y flauta, y vino^a,y no contemplan las obras del SEÑOR,ni ven la obra de sus manos^b.

13 Por eso va cautivo mi pueblo por falta de discernimiento^a;sus notables están muertos de hambre¹^by su multitud reseca de sed.14 Por tanto el Seol¹ ha ensanchado su garganta²^a y ha abierto sin medida su boca;y a él desciende el esplendor de Jerusalén³, su multitud, su alboroto y el que se divertía en ella.15 El hombre común será humillado y el hombre de importancia abatido,y los ojos de los altivos serán abatidos^a.16 Pero el SEÑOR de los ejércitos^a será exaltado por su juicio^b,y el Dios santo se mostrará santo por su justicia^c.17 Entonces pacerán los corderos como en su pastizal^a,y en los lugares desolados de los ricos¹, forasteros comerán.

18 ¡Ay de los que arrastran la iniquidad con cuerdas de falsedad¹y el pecado como con coyundas de carretas^a!19 Los que dicen: Que se dé prisa, que apresure su obra, para que la veamos;que se acerque y venga el propósito del Santo de Israel,para que lo sepamos^a.20 ¡Ay de los que llaman al mal bien y al bien mal^a,que tienen¹ las tinieblas por luz y la luz por tinieblas^b,que tienen² lo amargo por dulce y lo dulce por amargo!21 ¡Ay de los sabios a sus propios ojose inteligentes ante sí mismos^a!22 ¡Ay de los héroes para beber vinoy valientes para mezclar bebidas^a,23 que justifican al impío por soborno^ay quitan al justo su derecho¹^b!

24 Por tanto, como consume el rastrojo la lengua de fuego^a,y la hierba seca cae ante la llama,su raíz^b como podredumbre se volverá y su flor como polvo será esparcida¹^c;porque desecharon la ley del SEÑOR de los ejércitos,y despreciaron la palabra del Santo de Israel^d.25 Por esta causa se ha encendido la ira del SEÑOR contra su pueblo^a,y ha extendido su mano contra ellos y los ha herido;los montes temblaron^b y sus cadáveres yacen¹ como desecho en medio de las calles^c.Con todo esto, no se ha agotado² su ira^d,y aún está extendida su mano^e.

26 Alzará estandarte^a a la nación lejana¹,y le silbará^b desde los confines de la tierra^c,y he aquí, vendrá muy pronto, con rapidez^d.27 En ella nadie está cansado ni nadie se tambalea^a,ninguno dormita ni duerme;a ninguno se le ha desatado el cinturón de la cintura^b,ni se le ha roto la correa de su sandalia.28 Sus flechas¹ están afiladas y todos sus arcos entesados^a;los cascos de sus caballos son² como pedernal y las³ ruedas de sus carros como torbellino^b.29 Su rugido es como de leona, ruge como leoncillos^a;gruñe y atrapa la presa^b,y se la lleva sin que nadie la libre^c.30 En aquel día gruñirá sobre ella como el bramido del mar^a.Si se mira hacia la tierra, he aquí, hay tinieblas y angustia;aun la luz es oscurecida por sus nubes^b.

Parable of the Vineyard

Now let me sing for my greatly Beloved LORDA song of my Beloved about His vineyard (His chosen people) .My greatly Beloved had a ^avineyard on a very fertile slope (the promised land, Canaan) . Song 6:3; Matt 21:33-402 He dug it all around and cleared away its stones,And planted it with ¹the ^achoicest vine (the people of Judah) .And He built a tower in the center of it;And also hewed out a ²wine vat in it.Then He ^bexpected it to produce the choicest grapes,But it produced only worthless ones.

3 “And now, says the LORD, O inhabitants of Jerusalem and men of Judah,^aJudge between Me and My vineyard (My people) .4 “^aWhat more could have been done for My vineyard that I have not done in it?When I expected it to produce good grapes, why did it yield worthless ones?5 “So now let me tell you what I am going to do to My vineyard:I will ^atake away its thorn-hedge, and it will be burned up;I will ^bbreak down its ¹stone wall and it will be ^ctrampled down by enemies.6 “I will ^aturn it into a wasteland;It will not be pruned or cultivated,But briars and thorns will come up.I will also command the clouds not to ^brain on it.”

7 For the ^avineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house (nation) of IsraelAnd the men of Judah are His delightful planting which He loves.So He looked for justice, but in fact, He saw ^bbloodshed and lawlessness;He looked for righteousness, but in fact, He heard a cry of distress and oppression.

Woes for the Wicked

8 Woe (judgment is coming) to those who ^ajoin house to house and join field to field to increase their holdings by depriving others,Until there is no more room for others,So that you have to live alone in the midst of the land!9 In my ears the LORD of hosts said, “Be assured that ^amany houses will become ^bdesolate,Even great and beautiful ones will be unoccupied.10 “For ^aten ¹acres of vineyard will yield only ²one bath of wine,And a ^bhomer (³six bushels) of seed will produce only one ephah of grain.”11 Woe (judgment is coming) to those who rise early in the morning to pursue ^aintoxicating drink,Who stay up late in the night till wine inflames them!12 They have lyre and ^aharp, tambourine and flute, and wine at their feasts;But they ^bdo not regard nor even pay attention to the deeds of the LORD,Nor do they consider the work of His hands.

13 Therefore My people go into exile because they ^alack knowledge of God;And their ^bhonorable men are famished,And their common people are parched with thirst.14 Therefore ^aSheol (the realm of the dead) has increased its appetite and opened its mouth beyond measure;And ¹Jerusalem’s splendor, her multitude, her boisterous uproar and her drunken revelers descend into it.15 So the common man will be bowed down and the man of importance degraded,And ^athe eyes of the proud (arrogant) will be degraded.16 But the ^aLORD of hosts will be ^bexalted in justice,And God, the Holy One, will show Himself ^choly in righteousness through His righteous judgments.17 ^aThen the lambs will graze among the ruins as in their own pasture,And strangers will eat in the desolate places of the exiled wealthy.

18 Woe (judgment is coming) to those who drag along ^awickedness with cords of falsehood,And sin as if with cart ropes towing their own punishment;19 ^aWho say, “Let Him move speedily, let Him expedite His work His promised vengeance, so that we may see it;And let the purpose of the Holy One of Israel approachAnd come to pass, so that we may know it!”20 Woe (judgment is coming) to those who ^acall evil good, and good evil;Who ^bsubstitute darkness for light and light for darkness;Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!21 Woe (judgment is coming) to those who are ^awise in their own eyesAnd clever and shrewd in their own sight!22 ^aWoe (judgment is coming) to those who are heroes at drinking wineAnd men of strength in mixing intoxicating drinks,23 ^aWho justify the wicked and acquit the guilty for a bribe,And ^btake away the rights of those who are in the right!

24 Therefore, ^aas the tongue of fire consumes the stubble from strawAnd the dry grass collapses into the flame,So their ^broot will become ^clike rot and their blossom blow away like fine dust;Because they have ^drejected the law of the LORD of hostsAnd despised and discarded the word of the Holy One of Israel.25 Therefore the ^aanger of the LORD has burned against His people,And He has stretched out His hand against them and has struck them down.And the ^bmountains trembled, and their ^cdead bodies lay like rubbish in the middle of the streets.^dIn spite of all this God’s anger is not turned away,But His ^ehand is still stretched out in judgment.

26 He will lift up a ^aflag to call the distant nations to bring His judgment on Judah,And will ^bwhistle for them ^cfrom the ends of the earth;And indeed, they will ^dcome with great speed swiftly.27 ^aNo one among them is weary or stumbles,No one slumbers or sleeps;Nor is the ^bbelt at their waist undone as if unprepared for action,Nor is the strap of their sandal broken.28 ^aTheir arrows are sharp and all their bows are strung and bent;Their horses’ hoofs seem like flint and their chariot ^bwheels like a whirlwind.29 Their ^aroaring is like a lioness, they roar like young lions;They growl and ^bseize their preyAnd carry it off and there is ^cno one to save it.30 And in that day they will ^aroar against them (Judah) like the roaring of the sea.And if one ^blooks to the land, in fact, there is darkness and distress;Even the light will be darkened by its clouds.

3 “And now, you inhabitants of Jerusalem and people of Judah,^aJudge between Me and My vineyard.4 “^aWhat more was there to do for My vineyard ¹that I have not done in it?Why, when I expected it to produce good grapes did it produce ²worthless ones?5 “So now let Me tell you what I am going to do to My vineyard:I will ^aremove its hedge and it will be consumed;I will ^bbreak down its wall and it will become ^ctrampled ground.6 “I will ^alay it waste;It will not be pruned nor hoed,But briars and thorns will come up.I will also command the clouds not to ^brain on it.”

7 For the ^avineyard of the LORD of armies is the house of Israel,And the people of Judah are His delightful plant.So He waited for justice, but behold, there was ^bbloodshed;For righteousness, but behold, a cry for help.

Woes for the Wicked

13 Therefore My people go into exile for their ^alack of knowledge;And their ¹^bnobles are famished,And their multitude is parched with thirst.14 Therefore ^aSheol has enlarged its ¹throat and opened its mouth beyond measure;And ²Jerusalem’s splendor, her multitude, her noise of revelry, and the jubilant within her, descend into it.15 So the common people will be humbled and the person of importance brought low,^aThe eyes of the haughty also will be brought low.16 But the ^aLORD of armies will be ^bexalted in judgment,And the holy God will show Himself ^choly in righteousness.17 ^aThen the lambs will graze as in their pasture,And strangers will eat in the ruins of the ¹wealthy.

18 Woe to those who drag ^awrongdoing with the cords of ¹deceit,And sin as if with cart ropes;19 ^aWho say, “Let Him hurry, let Him do His work quickly, so that we may see it;And let the plan of the Holy One of Israel approachAnd come to pass, so that we may know it!”20 Woe to those who ^acall evil good, and good evil;Who ¹^bsubstitute darkness for light and light for darkness;Who ²substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!21 Woe to those who are ^awise in their own eyesAnd ¹clever in their own sight!22 ^aWoe to those who are heroes in drinking wine,And valiant men in mixing intoxicating drink,23 ^aWho declare the wicked innocent for a bribe,And ^btake away the ¹rights of the ones who are in the right!

24 Therefore, ^aas a tongue of fire consumes stubble,And dry grass collapses in the flame,So their ^broot will become ^clike rot, and their blossom ¹blow away like dust;For they have ^drejected the Law of the LORD of armies,And discarded the word of the Holy One of Israel.25 For this reason the ^aanger of the LORD has burned against His people,And He has stretched out His hand against them and struck them.And the ^bmountains quaked, and their ^ccorpses ¹lay like refuse in the middle of the streets.^dDespite all this, His anger ²is not spent,But His ^ehand is still stretched out.
