Pero en cuanto a ti, enseña¹ lo que está de acuerdo con la sana doctrina^a: 2 Los ancianos^a deben ser sobrios^b, dignos, prudentes^c, sanos^d en la fe^e, en el amor, en la perseverancia. 3 Asimismo, las ancianas deben ser reverentes en su conducta: no calumniadoras^a ni esclavas de mucho vino^b, que enseñen lo bueno, 4 que enseñen¹ a las jóvenes a que amen a sus maridos, a que amen a sus hijos, 5 a ser prudentes, puras, hacendosas en el hogar^a, amables, sujetas a sus maridos^b, para que la palabra de Dios no sea blasfemada^c. 6 Asimismo, exhorta a los jóvenes^a a que sean prudentes; 7 muéstrate en todo¹ como ejemplo de buenas obras^a, con pureza² de doctrina, con dignidad, 8 con palabra sana e irreprochable, a fin de que el adversario se avergüence^a al no tener nada malo que decir de nosotros. 9 Exhorta a los siervos^1a a que se sujeten a sus amos en todo, que sean complacientes, no contradiciendo, 10 no defraudando, sino mostrando toda buena fe, para que adornen la doctrina de Dios nuestro Salvador en todo respecto^a. 11 Porque la gracia de Dios se ha manifestado^a, trayendo salvación a todos los hombres^1b, 12 enseñándonos, que negando la impiedad y los deseos mundanos^a, vivamos en este mundo¹ sobria^b, justa y piadosamente^c, 13 aguardando la esperanza bienaventurada y la manifestación de la gloria^a de nuestro gran Dios y Salvador¹ Cristo Jesús^b, 14 quien se dio a sí mismo por nosotros^a, para REDIMIRNOS DE TODA INIQUIDAD^b y PURIFICAR PARA SI^c UN PUEBLO PARA POSESIÓN SUYA^d, celoso de buenas obras^e.

15 Esto habla, exhorta^a y reprende con toda autoridad^1b. Que nadie te menosprecie^c.

But as for you, teach the things which are in agreement with ^asound doctrine which produces men and women of good character whose lifestyle identifies them as true Christians. 2 ^aOlder men are to be ^btemperate, dignified, sensible, ^csound ^din faith, in love, in steadfastness Christlike in character.

3 Older women similarly are to be reverent in their behavior, ^anot malicious gossips nor ^baddicted to much wine, teaching what is right and good, 4 so that they may encourage the young women to tenderly love their husbands and their children, 5 to be sensible, pure, ^amakers of a home where God is honored, good-natured, being ^bsubject to their own husbands, ^cso that the word of God will not be dishonored.

6 In a similar way urge ^athe young men to be sensible and self-controlled and to behave wisely taking life seriously. 7 And in all things show yourself to be ^aan example of good works, with purity in doctrine having the strictest regard for integrity and truth, dignified, 8 sound and beyond reproach in instruction, so ^athat the opponent of the faith will be shamed, having nothing bad to say about us.

9 Urge ^abond-servants to be subject to their own masters in everything, to be pleasing and not talk back, 10 not stealing things, regardless of value, but proving themselves trustworthy, so that in every respect they will adorn and do credit to the teaching of ^aGod our Savior.

11 For the remarkable, undeserved grace of God that ^1abrings salvation has appeared ^bto all men. 12 It teaches us to reject ungodliness and ^aworldly (immoral) desires, and ^bto live sensible, upright, and godly lives with a purpose that reflects spiritual maturity ^cin this present age, 13 awaiting and confidently expecting the fulfillment of our blessed hope and the glorious ^aappearing of ^bour great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, 14 who willingly ^agave Himself to be crucified on our behalf ^bto redeem us and purchase our freedom from all wickedness, and ^cto purify for Himself a ^dchosen and very special people to be His own possession, who are ^eenthusiastic for doing what is good. 15 Tell them these things. ^aEncourage and ^brebuke with full authority. ^cLet no one disregard or despise you conduct yourself and your teaching so as to command respect.

6 Likewise urge ^athe young men to be ¹sensible; 7 in all things show yourself to be ^aan example of good deeds, with ¹purity in doctrine, dignified, 8 sound in speech which is beyond reproach, so ^athat the opponent will be put to shame, having nothing bad to say about us.

9 Urge ^abondslaves to be subject to their own masters in everything, to be well-pleasing, not ¹argumentative, 10 not pilfering, but showing all good faith so that they will adorn the doctrine of ^aGod our Savior in every respect.

11 For the grace of God has ^aappeared, ^1bbringing salvation to all men, 12 ¹instructing us to deny ungodliness and ^aworldly desires and ^bto live sensibly, righteously and godly ^cin the present age, 13 looking for the blessed hope and the ^aappearing of the glory of ^1bour great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, 14 who ^agave Himself for us ^bto redeem us from every lawless deed, and to ^cpurify for Himself a ^dpeople for His own possession, ^ezealous for good deeds.

15 These things speak and ^aexhort and ^breprove with all ¹authority. ^cLet no one disregard you.
