Y habló el SEÑOR a Moisés, diciendo: 2 Manda a los hijos de Israel que echen del campamento a todo leproso^a, a todo el que padece de flujo^b y a todo el que es inmundo por causa de un muerto^1c. 3 Echaréis tanto a hombres como a mujeres; los echaréis fuera del campamento para que no contaminen su campamento, donde yo habito en medio de ellos^a. 4 Y así lo hicieron los hijos de Israel, y los echaron fuera del campamento; tal como el SEÑOR había dicho a Moisés, así lo hicieron los hijos de Israel.

5 Entonces el SEÑOR habló a Moisés, diciendo: 6 Habla a los hijos de Israel: «El hombre o la mujer que cometa cualquiera de los pecados^a de la humanidad, actuando pérfidamente contra el SEÑOR, esa persona es culpable; 7 entonces confesará los pecados que ha¹ cometido^a, y hará completa restitución por el daño causado, añadirá un quinto y lo dará al que él perjudicó^b. 8 Pero si la persona¹ no tiene pariente² a quien se le haga la restitución por el daño, la restitución hecha por el daño debe ir al SEÑOR, para el sacerdote, además del carnero de expiación, con el cual se hace expiación por él. 9 También toda ofrenda^1a correspondiente a todas las cosas consagradas de los hijos de Israel que ofrecen al sacerdote, serán suyas. 10 Las cosas consagradas de toda persona¹ serán del sacerdote²; lo que una persona³ dé al sacerdote será de él^a».

11 El SEÑOR habló además a Moisés, diciendo: 12 Habla a los hijos de Israel, y diles: «Si la mujer de alguno se desvía^a y le es infiel, 13 teniendo alguno relaciones carnales con ella sin que su marido se dé cuenta¹, ni sea descubierta² (aunque ella se haya contaminado y no haya testigo contra ella, ni haya sido sorprendida en el acto mismo^a), 14 y un espíritu de celo viene sobre él y tiene celos de su mujer, habiéndose ella contaminado, o si viene un espíritu de celos sobre él y tiene celos^a de su mujer, no habiéndose ella contaminado, 15 el hombre llevará su mujer al sacerdote y llevará como ofrenda por ella un décimo de un efa¹ de harina de cebada; no derramará aceite sobre la ofrenda², ni pondrá sobre ella incienso, porque es una ofrenda de cereal, de celos, una ofrenda memorial de cereal, un recordatorio de iniquidad^a.

16 »Entonces el sacerdote hará que ella se acerque y la pondrá delante del SEÑOR, 17 y el sacerdote tomará agua santa en una vasija de barro; y¹ tomará del polvo que está sobre el piso del tabernáculo, y lo pondrá en el agua. 18 Luego el sacerdote hará que la mujer esté delante del SEÑOR y descubrirá la cabeza de la mujer, y pondrá en sus manos¹ la ofrenda memorial de cereal, que es la ofrenda de celos, y en la mano del sacerdote estará el agua de amargura que trae maldición. 19 Y el sacerdote hará que ella pronuncie juramento, y dirá a la mujer: “Si ningún hombre se ha acostado contigo, y si no te has desviado^a a la inmundicia, estando sujeta a tu marido, sé inmune a¹ esta agua de amargura que trae maldición; 20 pero si te has desviado^a, estando sujeta a tu marido, y te has corrompido, y otro hombre que no es tu marido se ha llegado a ti”, 21 (entonces el sacerdote hará que la mujer jure con el juramento de maldición^a, y el sacerdote dirá a la mujer): “El SEÑOR te haga maldición y juramento entre tu pueblo, haciendo el SEÑOR que tu muslo se enjute¹ y tu vientre se hinche; 22 y esta agua que trae maldición entrará en tus entrañas, y hará que tu vientre se hinche y tu muslo se enjute¹”. Y la mujer dirá: “Amén, amén^a”.

23 »Entonces el sacerdote escribirá estas maldiciones en un rollo, y las lavará¹ en el agua de amargura. 24 Después hará que la mujer beba el agua de amargura que trae maldición, para que el agua que trae maldición entre a ella para causar amargura. 25 Y el sacerdote tomará la ofrenda de cereal de los celos de la mano de la mujer, y mecerá la ofrenda de cereal delante del SEÑOR y la llevará al altar; 26 tomará el sacerdote un puñado de la ofrenda de cereal como su ofrenda memorial y la quemará en el altar^a, y después hará que la mujer beba el agua. 27 Cuando le haya hecho beber el agua, sucederá que si ella se ha contaminado y ha sido infiel a su marido, el agua que trae maldición entrará en ella para producir amargura, y su vientre se hinchará, su muslo se enjutará¹ y la mujer vendrá a ser una maldición^a en medio de su pueblo. 28 Mas si la mujer no se ha contaminado y es limpia, quedará libre y concebirá hijos¹.

29 »Esta es la ley de los celos: cuando una mujer que esté sujeta a su marido, se desvíe^a y se contamine, 30 o cuando un espíritu de celos venga sobre alguno y esté celoso de su mujer, entonces hará que la mujer se presente delante del SEÑOR, y el sacerdote le aplicará a ella toda esta ley. 31 Además, el marido quedará libre de culpa¹, pero la mujer llevará su culpa^2a».

The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Command the Israelites to ^asend away from the camp every leper and everyone who has a ^bdischarge, and whoever is ^cdefiled that is, ceremonially unclean by coming in contact with the dead. 3 You shall send away both male and female; you shall send them outside the camp so that they will not defile their camp where I dwell ^ain their midst.” 4 The Israelites did so, and sent them outside the camp; just as the LORD had said to Moses, so the Israelites did.

5 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 6 “Say to the Israelites, ‘^aWhen a man or woman commits any of the sins of mankind against other people, thus breaking faith with the LORD, and that person is guilty, 7 then he shall ^aconfess the sin which he has committed, and he ^bshall make restitution for his wrong in full, and add a fifth to it, and give it to the person whom he has wronged. 8 But if the man who was wronged has no redeemer (relative) to whom the restitution may be made, it is to be given to the LORD for the priest, besides the ram of atonement with which atonement is made for the offender. 9 ^aAlso every contribution pertaining to all the holy gifts of the Israelites which they offer to the priest, shall be his. 10 And every man’s holy gifts shall be the priest’s; whatever any man gives the priest, it ^abecomes his.’”

11 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 12 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them, ‘If any man’s wife ^agoes astray (deviates) and is unfaithful to him, 13 and a man is ^aintimate with her, and it is hidden from the eyes of her husband and it is kept secret, although she has defiled herself, and there is no witness against her and she has not been caught in the act, 14 and if a spirit (sense, attitude) of ^ajealousy comes over him and he is jealous and angry at his wife who has defiled herself—or if a spirit of jealousy comes over him and he is jealous of his wife when she has not defiled herself— 15 then the man shall bring his wife to the priest, and he shall bring as an offering for her, a tenth of an ephah of barley meal; he shall not pour oil on it nor put frankincense on it the symbols of favor and joy, because it is a grain offering of jealousy, a memorial grain offering, ^aa reminder of the consequences of wickedness.

16 ‘Then the priest shall have her approach and have her stand before the LORD, 17 and the priest shall take holy water from the sacred basin in an earthenware vessel; and he shall take some of the dust that is on the floor of the tabernacle and put it in the water. 18 The priest shall then have the woman stand before the LORD, and let the hair of the woman’s head hang loose, and put the memorial grain offering in her hands, which is the jealousy offering, and in the hand of the priest is to be the water of bitterness that brings a curse. 19 Then the priest shall have her take an oath and say to the woman, “If no man has lain with you and if you have not ^agone astray into uncleanness while married, then be immune to this water of bitterness that brings a curse; 20 but if you have ^agone astray while married and you have defiled yourself and a man other than your husband has been intimate with you” 21 (then the priest shall have the woman ^aswear the oath of the curse, and say to the woman), “The LORD make you a curse and an oath among your people when the LORD makes your thigh ¹waste away and your abdomen swell; 22 and this water that brings a curse shall go into your stomach, and make your abdomen swell and your thigh waste away.” And the woman ^ashall say, “Amen. Amen (so let it be) .”

23 ‘The priest shall then write these curses on a scroll and shall wash them off into the water of bitterness; 24 and he shall make the woman drink the water of bitterness that brings a curse, and the water that brings the curse will go into her and cause bitterness. 25 Then the priest shall take the grain offering of jealousy out of the woman’s hand, and he shall wave the grain offering before the LORD and offer it on the altar. 26 Then ^athe priest shall take a handful of the grain offering as the memorial portion of it and offer it up in smoke on the altar, and afterward he shall make the woman drink the water. 27 When he has made her drink the water, then it shall come about, that if she has defiled herself and has been unfaithful to her husband, the curse water will go into her and cause bitterness and cause her abdomen to swell and her thigh to waste away, and the woman will become ^aa curse among her people. 28 But if the woman has not defiled herself and is clean, then she will be free and conceive children.

29 ‘This is the law of jealousy: when a wife ^agoes astray while married and defiles herself, 30 or when a spirit (sense, attitude) of jealousy and suspicion comes on a man and he is jealous of his wife; then he shall have the woman stand before the LORD, and the priest shall apply this law to her. 31 Further, the husband will be free from guilt, but that woman if guilty shall ^abear her guilt.’”

Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Command the sons of Israel that they ^asend away from the camp every leper and everyone having a ^bdischarge and everyone who is ^cunclean because of a dead person. 3 You shall send away both male and female; you shall send them outside the camp so that they will not defile their camp where I dwell ^ain their midst.” 4 The sons of Israel did so and sent them outside the camp; just as the LORD had spoken to Moses, thus the sons of Israel did.

11 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 12 “Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘If any man’s wife ^agoes astray and is unfaithful to him, 13 and a man has ^aintercourse with her and it is hidden from the eyes of her husband and she is ¹undetected, although she has defiled herself, and there is no witness against her and she has not been caught in the act, 14 ¹if a spirit of ^ajealousy comes over him and he is jealous of his wife when she has defiled herself, or if a spirit of jealousy comes over him and he is jealous of his wife when she has not defiled herself, 15 the man shall then bring his wife to the priest, and shall bring as ¹an offering for her one-tenth of an ²ephah of barley meal; he shall not pour oil on it nor put frankincense on it, for it is a grain offering of jealousy, a grain offering of memorial, ^aa reminder of iniquity.

16 ‘Then the priest shall bring her near and have her stand before the LORD, 17 and the priest shall take holy water in an earthenware vessel; and ¹he shall take some of the dust that is on the floor of the tabernacle and put it into the water. 18 The priest shall then have the woman stand before the LORD and let the hair of the woman’s head go loose, and place the grain offering of memorial ¹in her hands, which is the grain offering of jealousy, and in the hand of the priest is to be the water of bitterness that brings a curse. 19 The priest shall have her take an oath and shall say to the woman, “If no man has lain with you and if you have not ^agone astray into uncleanness, being under the authority of your husband, be ¹immune to this water of bitterness that brings a curse; 20 if you, however, have ^agone astray, being under the authority of your husband, and if you have defiled yourself and a man other than your husband has had intercourse with you” 21 (then the priest shall have the woman ^aswear with the oath of the curse, and the priest shall say to the woman), “the LORD make you a curse and an oath among your people by the LORD’S making your thigh ¹waste away and your abdomen swell; 22 and this water that brings a curse shall go into your ¹stomach, and make your abdomen swell and your thigh ²waste away.” And the woman ^ashall say, “Amen. Amen.”
