^aY el primer día de la semana María Magdalena^b fue* temprano al sepulcro, cuando todavía estaba* oscuro, y vio* que ya la piedra había sido quitada del sepulcro^c. 2 Entonces corrió* y fue* a Simón Pedro y al otro discípulo a quien Jesús amaba^a, y les dijo*: Se han llevado al Señor del sepulcro, y no sabemos dónde le han puesto^b. 3 Salieron, pues, Pedro y el otro discípulo, e iban hacia el sepulcro^a. 4 Los dos corrían juntos, pero el otro discípulo corrió más aprisa que Pedro, y llegó primero al sepulcro; 5 e inclinándose para mirar adentro^a, vio* las envolturas de lino^b puestas allí, pero no entró. 6 Entonces llegó* también Simón Pedro tras él, entró al sepulcro, y vio* las envolturas de lino puestas allí, 7 y el sudario^a que había estado sobre la cabeza de Jesús¹, no puesto con las envolturas de lino^b, sino enrollado en un lugar aparte. 8 Entonces entró también el otro discípulo, el que había llegado primero al sepulcro^a, y vio y creyó. 9 Porque todavía no habían entendido la Escritura^a, que Jesús¹ debía resucitar de entre los muertos^b. 10 Los discípulos entonces se fueron de nuevo a sus casas^1a.

11 Pero María^a estaba fuera, llorando junto al sepulcro; y mientras lloraba, se inclinó y miró dentro del sepulcro^b; 12 y vio* dos ángeles vestidos de blanco^a, sentados donde había estado el cuerpo de Jesús, uno a la cabecera y otro a los pies. 13 Y ellos le dijeron*: Mujer, ¿por qué lloras^a? Ella les dijo*: Porque se han llevado a mi Señor, y no sé dónde le han puesto^b. 14 Al decir esto, se volvió y vio* a Jesús^a que estaba allí, pero no sabía que era Jesús^b. 15 Jesús le dijo*: Mujer, ¿por qué lloras^a? ¿A quién buscas? Ella, pensando que era el hortelano, le dijo*: Señor, si tú le has llevado, dime dónde le has puesto, y yo me lo llevaré. 16 Jesús le dijo*: ¡María! Ella, volviéndose, le dijo* en hebreo^1a: ¡Raboní^b! (que quiere decir, Maestro). 17 Jesús le dijo*: Suéltame¹ porque todavía no he subido al Padre; pero ve a mis hermanos^a, y diles: «Subo a mi Padre y a vuestro Padre, a mi Dios y a vuestro Dios^b». 18 Fue* María Magdalena^a y anunció a los discípulos^b: ¡He visto al Señor!, y que Él le había dicho estas cosas.

19 Entonces, al atardecer de aquel día, el primero de la semana, y estando cerradas las puertas del lugar donde los discípulos se encontraban por miedo a los judíos^a, Jesús vino y se puso en medio de ellos, y les dijo*: Paz a vosotros^b. 20 Y diciendo esto, les mostró las manos y el costado^a. Entonces los discípulos se regocijaron al ver al Señor^b. 21 Jesús entonces les dijo otra vez: Paz a vosotros^a; como el Padre me ha enviado, así también yo os envío^b. 22 Después de decir esto, sopló sobre ellos y les dijo*: Recibid el Espíritu Santo. 23 A quienes perdonéis los pecados,estos les son¹ perdonados; a quienes retengáis los pecados,estos les son² retenidos^a.

24 Tomás, uno de los doce^a, llamado el Dídimo^1b, no estaba con ellos cuando Jesús vino. 25 Entonces los otros discípulos le decían: ¡Hemos visto al Señor! Pero él les dijo: Si no veo en sus manos la señal de los clavos, y meto el dedo en el lugar de los clavos, y pongo la mano en su costado^a, no creeré^b.

26 Ocho días después, sus discípulos estaban otra vez dentro, y Tomás con ellos. Y estando las puertas cerradas, Jesús vino* y se puso en medio de ellos, y dijo: Paz a vosotros^a. 27 Luego dijo* a Tomás: Acerca aquí tu dedo, y mira mis manos; extiende aquí tu mano y métela en mi costado; y no seas incrédulo^a, sino creyente. 28 Respondió Tomás y le dijo: ¡Señor mío y Dios mío! 29 Jesús le dijo*: ¿Porque me has visto has creído? Dichosos los que no vieron, y sin embargo creyeron^a.

30 Y¹ muchas otras señales^2a hizo también Jesús^b en presencia de sus discípulos, que no están escritas en este libro; 31 peroestas se han escrito para que creáis^a que Jesús es el Cristo¹, el Hijo de Dios^b; y para que al creer, tengáis vida^c en su nombre.

Luke 24:12 4 And the two were running together, but the other disciple outran Peter and arrived at the tomb first. 5 ^aStooping down and looking in, he saw the ^blinen ¹wrappings neatly lying there; but he did not go in. 6 Then Simon Peter came up, following him, and went into the tomb and saw the linen wrappings neatly lying there; 7 and ^athe burial ¹face-cloth which had been on Jesus’ head, not lying with the other ^blinen wrappings, but ²rolled up in a place by itself. 8 So the other disciple, who ^ahad reached the tomb first, went in too; and he saw the wrappings and the face-cloth and ¹believed without any doubt that Jesus had risen from the dead. 9 For as yet ^athey did not understand the Scripture, ^bthat He must rise from the dead. Ps 16:10 10 Then the disciples went back again ^ato their own homes.

11 ^aBut Mary who had returned was standing outside the tomb sobbing; and so, as she wept, she ^bstooped down and looked into the tomb; 12 and she saw ^atwo angels in white sitting there, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. 13 And they said to her, “^aWoman, why are you crying?” She told them, “Because ^bthey have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him.” 14 After saying this, she turned around and ^asaw Jesus standing there, but she ^bdid not know that it was Jesus. 15 Jesus said to her, “^aWoman, why are you crying? For whom are you looking?” Supposing that He was the gardener, she replied, “Sir, if you are the one who has carried Him away from here, tell me where you have put Him, and I will take Him away.” 16 Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to Him ^ain ¹Hebrew, “^bRabboni!” (which means, Teacher). 17 Jesus said to her, “¹Do not hold Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to ^aMy brothers and tell them, ‘I am ^bascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’” 18 ^aMary Magdalene came, ^breporting to the disciples that she had seen the Lord and that He had said these things to her.

19 So when it was evening on that same day, the first day of the week, though the disciples were meeting behind barred doors for ^afear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them, and said, “^1bPeace to you.” 20 After He said this, ^aHe showed them His hands and His side. When the disciples saw the Lord, they were ^bfilled with great joy. 21 Then Jesus said to them again, “^aPeace to you; ^bas the Father has sent Me, I also send you as My representatives.” 22 And when He said this, He breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. Acts 1:8; 2:1-3 23 ^aIf you forgive the sins of anyone they are forgiven because of their faith; if you retain the sins of anyone, they are retained and remain unforgiven because of their unbelief.”

24 But ^aThomas, one of ^bthe twelve disciples, who was called ^cDidymus (the twin) , was not with them when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples kept telling him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see in ^aHis hands the marks of the nails, and put my finger into the nail prints, and put my hand into His side, ^bI will never believe.”

26 Eight days later His disciples were again inside the house, and Thomas was with them. Jesus came, though the doors had been barred, and stood among them and said, “^aPeace to you.” 27 Then He said to Thomas, “^aReach here with your finger, and see My hands; and put out your hand and place it in My side. Do not be unbelieving, but stop doubting and believe.” Luke 24:39 28 Thomas answered Him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen Me, do you now believe? ^aBlessed happy, spiritually secure, and favored by God are they who did not see Me and yet believed in Me.”

30 ^aThere are also many other ^bsigns (attesting miracles) that Jesus performed in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; 31 but these have been written ^aso that you may believe with a deep, abiding trust that Jesus is the Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed) , ^bthe Son of God; and that by ^cbelieving and trusting in and relying on Him you may have life in His name. Ps 2:7, 12

19 So when it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were shut where the disciples were, for ^afear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and *said to them, “^1bPeace be with you.” 20 And when He had said this, ^aHe showed them both His hands and His side. The disciples then ^brejoiced when they saw the Lord. 21 So Jesus said to them again, “^aPeace be with you; ^bas the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” 22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them and *said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 ^aIf you forgive the sins of any, their sins ¹have been forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they have been retained.”
