Prayer for Help and Guidance.

A Psalm of David.

Hear my prayer, O LORD,^aListen to my supplications!Answer me in Your ^bfaithfulness, and in Your ^crighteousness.2 And ^ado not enter into judgment with Your servant,For in Your sight ^bno man living is righteous or justified. Ps 130:3; Rom 3:20-26; Gal 2:163 For the enemy has persecuted me,He has crushed my life down ^ato the ground;He ^bhas made me dwell in dark places, like those who have been long dead.4 Therefore ^amy spirit is overwhelmed and weak within me wrapped in darkness;My heart ^bgrows numb within me.

5 I ^aremember the days of old;I ^bmeditate on all that You have done;I ^cponder the work of Your hands.6 I ^areach out my hands to You;My ^bthroat thirsts for You, as a parched land thirsts for water.Selah.

7 ^aAnswer me quickly, O LORD, my ^bspirit fails;^cDo not hide Your face from me,Or I will become like ^dthose who go down into the pit (grave) .8 Let me hear Your ^alovingkindness ^bin the morning,For I trust ^cin You.Teach me the ^dway in which I should walk,For I ^elift up my soul to You.9 ^aRescue me, O LORD, from my enemies;I take refuge in You.

10 ^aTeach me to do Your will so that I may please You,For You are my God;Let ^bYour good Spirit ^clead me on level ground.11 ^aSave my life, O LORD, ^bfor Your name’s sake;^cIn Your righteousness bring my life out of trouble.12 In your lovingkindness, ^asilence and destroy my enemiesAnd ^bdestroy all those who afflict my life,For ^cI am Your servant.
